90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Jenny Slatten isn’t religious, but she’s willing to become a Hare Krishna devotee and follow ISKCON’s four principles to stay in India. Viewers know the story of Indian native Sumit Singh and Jenny has been full of shocking revelations. Many fans consider Jenny and Sumit to be one of the most troubled couples on the show, and the reason for that is their endless relationship drama, family fights, and lies. Their journey started with Sumit trapping Jenny into a relationship through a fake social profile and manipulating her to move to India.

Since then, their relationship has been an endless barrage of drama and struggles to get married. As of 2021, the 90 Day Fiancé couple has tried multiple times to get married but has failed. The core reason for that is Sumit’s parents, who can’t see their young son getting married to a woman twice his age. Despite multiple attempts, Sumit’s parents have continually denied accepting Jenny, which is quite heartbreaking for the couple and many viewers.

Luckily, Jenny has found a way to stay in India permanently. Her idea is to become an advocate for the International Society for Krishna Consciousness and get a missionary visa, which would allow her to be with Sumit in India. This solution seems pretty good from afar, especially due to the perks of being a part of ISKCON. However, there are major issues linked to it, especially for Jenny. Firstly, the 90 Day Fiancé star isn’t religious, so it would be very difficult for her to chant mantras and follow certain rules.

Per ISKCON/Wiki, she will also have to follow four regulative practices. The first one of the principles is to follow a strict diet. Instead of regular meals, Jenny will have to consume only lacto-vegetarian Krishna prasadam food, which would not contain meat, fish, and eggs. The second rule states that devotees can't consume any intoxicants be it wine, vodka, cigarettes, or any kind of drug. The third practice is never to indulge in gambling. No matter what the situation is, or if there is a benefit, gambling in any form is prohibited. Lastly, the fourth practice is not to engage in illicit sex.

It means Jenny can’t be intimate with Sumit until and unless it is after their marriage and for purely procreational reasons. The last pointer may be a big problem for Jenny and Sumit as they are not planning to have kids. During an interview, the 90 Day Fiancé star revealed she doesn’t want to have kids with Sumit; she isn’t even considering surrogacy or adoption. The couple said they are already busy looking after their puppies. Since Jenny and Sumit are living a happy life in India, Sumit’s parents should allow him to get married so this 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way duo can finally move on with each other.
