Jenny Slatten from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way is busy celebrating festivals with Sumit Singh in India while fans have been accusing her of disrespecting ISKCON for selfish motives. The latest loophole that Sumit has found for Jenny to continue staying in India without getting married is for her to become a Hare Krishna devotee. During season 3 of the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off, fans learned that Jenny was moving to Sumit’s country, even though he catfished her when they first met. However, that wasn’t the only trick that Sumit pulled on Jenny, but she's still together and celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi with him.

When Jenny and Sumit visited an immigration lawyer on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way episode 2, she was asked by the expert if she would give up her American citizenship. A different option for Jenny to stay in India was the missionary visa, which she could get if she joined the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. The Palm Springs resident spoke of being non-religious but considered becoming an advocate of ISKCON. To further prove her decision, Jenny also posted a photo of her bowing down to a statue of the Indian God with the caption, “Krishna will show me a path.

So far, Jenny has been criticized by several 90 Day Fiancé fans on her post and on Reddit for being deeply disrespectful to the country and culture. Moreover, Jenny also took to her personal Facebook page to say critics who are posting comments about religion need to better educate themselves. Perhaps Jenny may have wanted to tell her fans about how in-tune she is with Sumit’s culture as she’s now posted a photo of her Lord Ganesha idol. “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi,” Jenny wrote on her Instagram Story and added a few heart emojis and a prayer hands emoji with it.

As described by Times Of India, the Hindu festival is celebrated for 10 days every year and generally falls between mid-August to September. It marks the birthday of the elephant-headed Lord Ganesha, who is worshipped for being the God of wealth, sciences, knowledge, wisdom and prosperity. Ganesha has 108 unique names, such as Vinayaka, Gajanana, Ganapati and more. The popular festival, which the 90 Day Fiancé celebrity is spreading awareness about, is celebrated with great devotion and joy by Hindus around the world.

While Jenny admitted during last Sunday's 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way that seeing herself as a Hare Krishna devotee is “something that’s pretty far out there” for her, her still being in India indicates that she may have finally gone down that route. Being with Sumit matters to Jenny, and getting married to him is her biggest dream. Sumit has commitment issues and is scared of marrying a second time, even though he loves his partner of 10 years dearly. Still, amongst the fans who think Jenny will never become an ISKCON missionary, there are some who admire her for adapting Sumit’s Hindu traditions with ease and seriousness.
