Jay Smith has been involved in a messy love triangle with Ashley Martson and Kayla O’Brien. His 90 Day Fiancé co-star has filed for divorce for the third time and she appears to be finished with Smith for good. However, we’ve heard this story before, will Jay and Ashley reunite once again?
Jay was originally linked to Kayla in January 2019. In fact, the cheating scandal was the reason why Ashley filed for divorce for the first time. Martson withdrew the paperwork when Smith was by her side during her Lupus hospitalization. However, the romance between Jay and Kayla didn’t end there. The timeline of their relationship is unclear, but it’s assumed O’Brien and Smith have been on and off since the beginning of 2019. In April 2019, Ashley filed for divorce a second time. It’s assumed that Jay cheated with Kayla again because she supported him during his ICE detention incident while Ashley was absent. Kayla was referred to as Jay’s “friend” at this time, but now it’s obvious that more was going on between them.
Since Jay has flipped between Ashley and Kayla for two years, there’s a good chance the love triangle could continue. It all depends on Ashley’s current attitude on the relationship, which appears to be that she’s done. She stated that she “is focused on her kids and is trying to heal from the messy divorce.” However, there are still some loose ends in their terminated marriage. “Jay is still working out of Ashley’s tattoo shop,” the insider said. Martson opened the business venture for Jay in July when they were still together. “She’s currently trying to get the property transferred under his name because she lost a ton of money from it.”
There’s an old saying that says “history repeats itself.” Jay has cheated before and there’s a good chance that he will do it again. The question is will he cheat with his 90 Day Fiancé soon to be ex-wife or another woman? With that being said, hopefully Jay has learned his lesson about infidelity and treats Kayla with more respect.
