On 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Jasmine Pineda got engaged to Gino Palazzolo after ignoring all of his red flags and justifying his troubled behavior. 34-year-old Jasmine met TLC fans on the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off, as an angry, annoying partner to Gino. Soon enough, she was compared to Larissa Lima and Anfisa Arkhipchenko. However, fans got to know Jasmine better with each passing week and started sympathizing with her when Gino admitted to violating her privacy. Jasmine proved she was nothing like the “crazy Panamanian girlfriend” they thought she was. In fact, they applauded the way that she wore her heart on her sleeve. However, there’s something about Jasmine that still makes her unlikable to some viewers, and it’s how she keeps defending Gino’s manipulation and gaslighting.
Gino and Jasmine seemed to be the most “in love” couple when they started their journey on 90 Day Fiancé, when compared to others, such as Alina Kozhevnikova and Caleb Greenwood or Kim Menzies and Usman Umar (those two pairs weren't even in legitimate relationships). However, if Jasmine was portrayed as a gold digger, Gino had the dubious motive of getting B90's Jasmine pregnant by the end of his trip. He compared Jasmine to his ex, gave her a toothbrush as a gift, and betrayed her by sharing her private photos with an ex. The ex in question wasn’t Gino’s girlfriend, but a lady he was in a sugar baby/sugar daddy arrangement with, which Jasmine was unaware of. Gino confessed he’d only shared Jasmine’s pictures to irritate his ex, whom he seemingly wasn’t over yet. When confronted by Jasmine, Gino went ahead and denied ever sharing her photos. When he finally admitted to doing it, he claimed they weren’t nudes because Jasmine was only topless in them.
However, Jasmine from B90 ended up forgiving Gino for everything right before she accepted his ring. Even though Jasmine had caught Gino lying again (she'd scrolled through his phone and found evidence of a trip to Legoland he’d taken with his ex), he said “I’m done.” This somehow made Jasmine feel miserable. According to her, she cried for nine months of their online relationship, during the lockdown, because she wanted to be with him. Jasmine didn’t want to give up on Gino because she loved and needed him. She advocated Gino’s “weird and creepy” attitude by saying there’s also a side of him that’s sweet and intelligent. “I love him from bald head to toe, just the way he is,” Jasmine claimed.
Her critics suspect that Jasmine doesn’t care about how B90's Gino acts with her, as long as he provides her with money and a Green Card once they get married. Dealing with Gino’s awkwardness is the price that Jasmine has to pay to get what she really wants from him. Jasmine also wasn’t grossed out by Gino always wanting to keep his hat on, hoarding multiple pens in his bag, or saving her fingernail in case she broke up with him. Jasmine knew she could do better, but these are things she turns a blind eye to continually. Moreover, Jasmine spoke about how she wanted Gino “to suffer” the way she was suffering, when she kept constantly attacking him after the photo controversy.
If B90's Jasmine is of the vengeful kind, she won’t let Gino forget what he did to disrespect her, even if they stay together long-term. Gino fell in love with Jasmine’s brains when they met and 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, and viewers know how smart she is. Jasmine had once claimed she’s not with Gino for a visa, so it’s also possible that he has certain redeeming qualities that haven’t been revealed on TV. Perhaps it was only Gino’s emotionally unavailable side that fans got to see. There may be other things that only Jasmine knows about him. Jasmine has grown on fans due to her personality and the way that she looks out for Gino, which shows that she genuinely cares for him. It’s also Jasmine’s past that doesn’t allow her to trust anyone easily. If Gino has managed to win her over, fans hope that he won't hurt her again. Will be become the best man possible for Jasmine?
