The 90 Day Fiancé franchise star Big Ed Brown is now taken following his recent proposal to Liz Marie Woods, and he's opened up about how he popped the question. As fans know, the couple has been hot and cold over the last few years. Now, it seems like love has conquered all, as the two reality stars have found their way back to one another.

Big Ed became one of the most notorious franchise villains when he asked Rosemarie Vega to shave her legs and gave her mouthwash as a gift. Since then, he has remained a controversial figure. The San Diego native often gets dragged for dating much younger women who could be mistaken for his daughters. He made his comeback on 90 Day: The Single Life on Discovery+, but his love life hasn't exactly been smooth sailing. Big Ed met Liz when she was working as a waitress, and somehow they hit it off. Even though a lot of fans find the relationship creepy, the lovebirds are looking forward to planning a large wedding in the not-too-distant future.

Fans will recall that the couple spent six months apart, but quickly reconciled once they realized they didn't want to live without each other. Thankfully, Big Ed has owned up to his former mistreatment of his soon-to-be wife, and the couple is now looking forward to planning their nuptials. Ed told the outlet that he didn't like who he was, revealing that therapy made him realize what an "ass*ole" he had been. To the 90DF photographer, it was worth changing to keep the woman of his dreams.

Liz has been sporting her large diamond ring and proudly showing it off to cameras. He proposed after an argument, as he wanted to prove how serious he was about the relationship. The day after the confrontation, Big Ed said, "Screw it," and bought the giant sparkler. At 3:15 in the morning, Big Ed went into his safe and brought out the show-stopping ring, proving to the mother of one that he was committed to her. The TLC star divulged that he told Liz, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

As 90 Day Fiancé fans recall, Liz endured a lot due to Ed. At one point, leaked audio showed Ed berating Liz after she tried explaining her emotions. Fans believed that the couple would never get back together but the stars have proved everyone wrong. The couple was first spotted back together late last year after a fan spotted them out to dinner in San Francisco. While they kept their engagement on the down low, Big Ed and Liz are now more than willing to shout their love from the rooftops. 90 Day Fiancé fans are hoping that the network decides to air a special that shows the wedding planning and nuptials.
