Many 90 Day Fiancé fans would know that Jenny Slatten has finally joined her boyfriend, Sumit, in India. Sumit welcomed her into his house and performed a few Indian rituals for their happy future. However, some fans, especially from India, claim that having a cow inside the house was just for the cameras and it isn't a tradition.

The couple has been facing a pretty tough time for a while. While Jenny was convincing his daughters that his Indian boyfriend had changed, Sumit was finalizing the divorce with his first wife. Finally, the 62-year-old took a long flight to India and reunited with her 32-year-old boyfriend. Although the pair has 30 years of a considerable age gap, they seem very much in love. Sumit has been advocating the choice he has made and wants to stick by his lady-love. He rented an apartment for Jenny and wanted to make sure that housewarming is done traditionally. For the ceremony, he called a few priests to conduct rituals and prayers. Although Jenny looked a little shocked at first, she tried to understand the importance of these rituals for Sumit.

She even carried a vessel on her head and went from one room to the other. The next ritual involved a fire pit that was done to get rid of negative energy. All these things are absolutely common in Indian culture and can be seen in almost every other ceremony. However, getting a cow inside the house is pretty unusual and was way over the top. According to an Indian fan, the whole cow scene was amped up to gain traction. Cows hold a very sacred place in Indian traditions, but it was a stereotypical way of showing that belief - nobody gets a cow inside a house, especially in a metropolitan city like New Delhi (where Sumit lives). Check out the tweet by an Indian fan below:

Maybe it was an attempt to engage (or more like shock) the 90 Day Fiancé’s American audience. Having roots in India, we know that it’s challenging to find a cow in a city area, and getting it inside the house is another big task. Just like Jenny, Indians also think that the situation could turn dangerous. Plus, cleaning cow dung is not really a picturesque view.

Well, we still believe in the explanation given by Sumit and hope for their peaceful lives together. Let’s wish prosperity and happiness to start flowing into their house. There is no doubt that Sumit and Jenny are coming across as the most promising (after Kenneth and Armando, of course).
