90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After’s Elizabeth’s father may be running a scam of his own. It has come to the attention of fans that Chuck may no longer have a leg to stand on when he starts to investigate his son-in-law for sketchy behavior in upcoming episodes.
Elizabeth Potthast from 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? is afraid that her American family will be too judgmental of Moldova. In the past, the two families have failed to see eye to eye. Most issues stem from Andrei Castravet acting rudely, however, fans believe that the real fear should be the threat of the two families clashing once Libby's family arrives. Currently, Chuck Potthast is grilling his son-in-law about the reason for leaving his home country.
But those who live in glass houses should not throw stones since fans have recently learned that Chuck has been accused of running scams of his own. The family’s Florida business has come under fire for sleazy moves and acting like slum landlords towards tenants. The self-righteous patriarch may need to tone down his judgment on Andrei now.
According to the Better Business Bureau, there have been numerous complaints against Chuck and his son, Daniel for running foreclosure scams on renters. The family’s company, CDC Capital Investments LLC, has had to defend themselves against accusations of rental fraud. Many customers have complained that the properties they were rented were in the process of being foreclosed on and the company failed to inform the renters. Many renters have been told at the last minute that they had been evicted and left without a roof over their heads. Letters were sent out to other renters threatening to charge them three times the court costs if they did not vacate by the given date. Other complaints accuse the company of not answering their phone or having a voice mail. The family avoids their customers at all costs.
The whole Potthast family has a long history of criminal activity. Chuck himself was arrested back in 2009 for unpaid child support. Three of Elizabeth’s siblings have all bee arrested for driving with a revoked license and have mug shots to prove it. Fans are a bit annoyed that Chuck has been so anti-Andrei, especially since he may have a naughty past of his own. Hopefully, Andrei shapes up and reveals the real reasons why he decided to leave Moldova behind for the greener pastures of Ireland.
