A lot of fans have complaints about the direction of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise and the kinds of spin-offs being released, and 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? is one of the worst offenders. Viewers think that the overall 90 Day Fiancé franchise is getting repetitive and boring, and HEA seems to be getting the most criticism. With the way fans are feeling, TLC should scrap HEA and devote network attention to spin-offs that viewers actually want.

Looking back, Happily Ever After? was one of the earliest franchise spin-offs. It was designed to pick up where 90 Day Fiancé left off. Couples who made it down the altar on 90 Day Fiancé would be followed afterward so fans could find out what happens after the couples navigated the K1-visa process. Many couples from the core show have been featured over the course of the six seasons the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off has been on the air. Initially, viewers liked seeing more of their favorite couples, but over time, HEA seems to have worn out its welcome.

When it comes to 90 Day Fiancé, fans are growing tired of seeing the same old couples on the show season after season. TLC keeps recycling unlikable cast members just to generate drama and buzz. However, just because viewers are talking about the cast, that doesn’t mean they actually like them. Even hate-watching couples they don’t like has gotten boring to a lot of fans. It’s not surprising given that these couples appear on repeat seasons all the time on HEA, like Russ and Paola Mayfield, who were featured on the spin-off a whopping four times.

There was a lot of hype for the return of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days earlier this year, and it’s not surprising - this season features almost entirely new cast members. HEA is one of the laziest shows in the franchise in that respect considering that the casting department really doesn't have to do much besides give former cast members a phone call. The entire show takes place after a couple’s main storyline is concluded, so a lot of the drama feels forced and boring. Overall, the effort and resources that go into HEA could be diverted and used on new and different spin-offs that fans might enjoy more.

Although HEA is one of the main spin-offs, it’s one of the easiest to produce because it’s all returning 90 Day Fiancé cast members. For this reason, TLC would probably be hesitant to scrap it, but there are better ideas out there. Viewers are hungry for something new and different, and the network might be able to come up with something to satiate them if they cancel HEA.
