Gino Palazzolo and Jasmine Pineda are well-known for their tumultuous relationship on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days, but fans are beginning to believe that Gino triggers intentionally Jasmine and he may not be as innocent as he seems. Gino has traveled to Panama to meet the love of his life for the first time. Alas, their trip has been less than simple as Jasmine continues to have meltdowns over Gino’s past due to her own insecurities.
Upon first introductions, viewers quickly acknowledged Jasmine’s red flags and believed that their relationship would be unsuccessful. Jasmine likes to keep a tight hold on Gino and demands to know his whereabouts at all times. When he’s out and is around other women, he is required to be on a video call with Jasmine. During their first date, Jasmine accused Gino of “having something with the waitress” when he wanted to tip the server. Not to mention, despite Gino not having a job currently, she booked a $2,500 vacation because she didn’t like his Christmas gifts. With that said, as more episodes become available, fans and critics are taking a closer look at Gino and his antics.
Originally, viewers thought Jasmine and her major controlling issues would ruin their relationship. However, viewers think that Gino could’ve avoided many of her breakdowns and may have even intentionally started them. “There’s just something about the way Gino says things and reacts that makes me feel like he’s perhaps triggering Jasmine deliberately because he wants to paint himself to be the good generous guy who is scared of his ‘crazy’ gold-digging girlfriend,” a Reddit user said. Unfortunately, it didn’t end there.
The same Reddit user went on to say, “I mean especially the whole thing with him giving her a toothbrush the first time they met and saying that’s her Christmas gift made me roll my eyes. I can think of a million things that cost less but would’ve made for a better gift and made me feel like he did it deliberately to get a rise out of her.” Even though fans thought that average-looking, middle-aged Gino was out of his league with the sultry-looking 34-year-old, it appears that Jasmine may earn the popular vote. Other viewers shared similar thoughts as one user said, “Gino’s not innocent at all. He’s incredibly cheap and thoughtless. He also stays in contact with an ex.”
Unfortunately for Gino, things aren’t looking too good for him as other users also point out his own red flags, like wanting Jasmine pregnant by the end of the trip. The previews for the upcoming episode also have viewers cringing as it reveals a distraught Jasmine asking if Gino sent her nude photos to his ex. Another fan on Reddit couldn’t help but share his concern as he said, “This dude is definitely low key trying to induce jealously/competition among these women. Triangulation is a classic narcissistic move.”
In the end, Jasmine may have some concerning habits, but Gino does too. Even though it’s obvious how quickly Jasmine can switch, Gino continues to put himself in awkward positions that ultimately lead to a toddler-like meltdown. Viewers are patiently waiting to see if either of the two learn how to communicate better in future episodes of 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days.
