How did Geoffrey get a tourist visa to Russia with a criminal record on 90 Day Fiancé? Russia is known for its strict laws so fans are confused about how they were lenient with the new reality star and his offenses.

Paschel has been accused of some heinous crimes, which include aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault, interference with an emergency call and vandalism. He also admitted in the last episode to dealing drugs when he was younger because his family was struggling to survive. His girlfriend was shocked and confused as to whether she should continue the relationship. Fans have questioned the network as to why Paschel was even allowed on the season to begin with.

Recently fans have pointed though Reddit out that to travel to Russia is difficult, let alone if you have a criminal record. One fan explained that she was Canadian and the number of documents that were needed to be filed was “no joke.” Many who are familiar with the visa process for any country know that it can take up to a couple of hours to fill out all the paperwork. You need to write about your education, previous jobs, the last ten years of travel that included dates, as well as any possible criminal record you may have. Many fans would have safely assumed with a horrible past like Paschel’s he would have been automatically denied and blocked from entering.

According to U.S. Immigrations, if a petitioner has a criminal record, the sponsor must provide any and all criminal records with their application. The U.S. Immigration Services would look at any criminal convictions or specified crimes that would include domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, dating violence, stalking, rape, homicide, kidnapping, false imprisonment and unlawful criminal restraint. U.S. Visas and Immigration would also take into consideration any crimes relating to controlled substances. If the fiancé that the American citizen wanted to bring over to the United States had a criminal record, it would likely trigger inadmissibility, immediately putting up red flags and denying the K-1 Visa.

The mystery of how Paschel was able to enter the country still baffles many TLC viewers. Many believe Russia and the network could have made a deal as it would be free advertising for Russia, but others think since some cases are still pending that they would not be on his record. Paschel has had a hard time keeping girlfriends and wives, all four of them, as his impulse controls have gotten the best of him. Fans are currently worried about the safety of Varya, who seemingly has no idea what she is getting herself into.
