Fans of the hit show have been worried about Varya since the first episode aired. Geoffrey was found to have a long history of domestic violence against women as well as a sketchy drug past. The Knoxville native hid this information from his girlfriend as he was nervous it would scare her away. During his visit to Russia, more and more red flags were shown, warning Varya that she shouldn't marry this man. Fans think that Varya Malina dodged a huge bullet by turning down Geoffrey Paschel's proposal for marriage. The Russian radio host knew deep down that Geoffrey was bad news and decided to go her own way, not knowing her saying "not yet" would result in Geoffrey breaking up with her at the airport.
As fans watched the moment Geoffrey got on one knee to propose to Varya and explain that he is an amazing man, but she wants to take it slow, they knew it would not end well for the young woman. Geoffrey’s all demeanor changed as he morphed into a sulking child who did not get his way. He immediately put his guard back up and turned off all emotion tied toward Varya, much like what a sociopath would do. But on the sneak peek for next week’s all-new episode, fans watched as the Knoxville native grabbed some flowers for his mystery date. Fans were not completely shocked that the Casanova would be out and about trying to get his way with an American woman. Screen Rant’s guess would have to say it was his friend Mary, who asked him why he never noticed her when she was right in front of him all this time. The reality stars' long time friend had said they are not so secretly hoping that she denies him, but viewers will have to wait and see.
