90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Geoffrey Paschel has come off as quite the villain in the middle of this love triangle with Varya and Mary. Geoffrey smirking at Mary and Varya’s fight was definitely gross. There's nothing worse than a man purposefully pitting two women against each other in order to fight for him. The fact that he obviously enjoyed it proves his narcissistic tendencies.
The TLC star is no stranger to having had to defend himself once or twice as the season has aired due to his long rap sheet. Geoffrey has had charges brought against him in June 2019 for allegedly beating and raping one of his ex-wives. Fans are now appalled by how Geoffrey reacted when two women he said to have had feelings were fighting over him.
On last night's, an all-new episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, fans watched as a fiery Varya went after Mary. The two women could hardly get a word in edgewise as both yelled at one another for being a part of Paschel’s life. The Knoxville native stood with his arms folded over his chest, smirking. TLC viewers were disgusted that Paschel had the audacity to stand there and enjoy the moment that was obviously hard for both Varya and Mary.
Many have already pointed out Paschel’s narcissistic traits and feel that he ghosted Varya to only have her waiting in the wings in case something went wrong with his relationship with Mary. Paschel claimed during the episode that he ignored all her messages, but in a recent interview with Domenick Nati, the reality star actually said he did reply, despite the messages only being one-word answers. Once again showing that Geoffrey is accustomed to stretching the truth to fit his needs so the situation works out in his favor. Many had hoped that Varya and Mary would have banned together to tell him that his behavior was not okay. Mary stormed out of the house, heartbroken and feeling stupid while Paschel did little to comfort her.
During a night out with friends later in the episode, he invited Varya to drinks with him and Mary's friends, leaving Mary behind. While talking to his friends about both women, Mary showed up. Paschel pitting the two women against each other is a classic tactic used by narcissists called triangulation. According to Psych Central, triangulation is when a “toxic or manipulative person, often a person with strong narcissistic traits, brings a third person into their relationship in order to remain in control.” The trait was very easy to spot as Paschel manipulated both women. For Mary, he has strung her along for years just keeping her as a safety net while Varya thought they still had a chance even though he was extremely pushy while visiting her in Russia.
Fans have had enough of Paschel and his sleazy attitude. TLC recently banned him from attending the reunion because he lied to them about his background. Paschel is still awaiting his court date regarding the pending charges but feels he will be exonerated.
