90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Gabriel “Gabe” Paboga has shockingly revealed he got cast in the show because of his catfishing sister Monica. The 32-year-old Gabriel is from Florida and has moved to Colombia to get married to his 34-year-old girlfriend Isabel Posada. Gabriel is the franchise’s first transgender man, and has not only made history but also earned praise for educating viewers about his transgender surgery journey. Gabriel used to be a woman called Natalie, and he’s often revealed before and after photos from his transformation.
However, some fans are accusing 90 Day Fiancé's Gabriel Paboga of being a scammer, and have sent hateful and critical messages regarding his transition, as per Gabriel’s latest Instagram stories. While slamming these critics, Gabriel revealed an unknown fact about him and how he made it to the cast. “I didn’t even scam the show because I didn’t even write the show to get on it,” Gabriel admitted. He added that his sister “actually catfished them pretending” to be Gabriel. Monica knew that Gabriel would have never written to the show otherwise. “She was like Gabe you are perfect, you should do this,” Gabriel confessed.

“So actually my sister catfished TLC into thinking it was me, and they actually called me,” Gabriel continued. He, however, agreed to be on the show and now Gabriel seems happy to share his transition with viewers. Gabriel shared screenshots of some comments on his recent Instagram posts, sarcastically introducing his followers to his “new fan club.” The comments were calling Gabriel a “nasty woman” and a “biological woman.” He added there is a group of people saying he is not trans because he has a “receding hairline” and “man hands.” By claiming Gabriel isn’t trans, these people are accusing him of scamming his way into the 90 Day Fiancé franchise.
Prior to his reality TV fame since starring in The Other Way season 4, Gabriel was YouTube famous for sharing his transitioning journey online. Gabriel has been accused of not being a real man and scamming people for money by getting views on his videos. Recently, during an episode of The Other Way, Gabriel spoke about a different kind of hate that he receives on his social media. According to Gabriel, the hateful comments he received were either from trolls or religious people who want him to pay for the “sins” he’s committed.
Sadly for Gabriel, Isabel’s father is very religious, and has yet to find out that Gabriel is a trans man. Isabel’s parents love Gabriel. They feel he’s the ideal partner for their daughter, considering her past toxic relationships. But Isabel will be forced to choose between her family and Gabriel if they don’t accept him. It appears that Gabriel and Isabel are still together after 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, which means Isabel’s parents didn’t mind Gabriel’s transness. But on the other hand, Gabriel has a new set of demons to deal with, who happen to be TLC viewers that don’t support him.
