The doctor confirmed her concerns and agreed that at 37 years old, Shaeeda should start trying to conceive sooner rather than later.
Many viewers were annoyed with Bilal’s responses in the doctor’s office, but one fan is calling out TLC for seemingly staging the scene. Kansas City resident and Redditor peezapizza commented in a thread that they knew the doctor Bilal and Shaeeda met with and had seen him multiple times. However, the fan claims while Doctor Mirabile is a gynecologist, he is not a fertility specialist and does not deliver babies. “I’m guessing that meeting in his fancy office was just for the show as I’ve never seen that before,” the fan added. “He meets patients in normal rooms just like any other doctor.”
90 Day Fiancé Fans Are Right To Be Suspicious
Though only one fan made these claims about Shaeeda and Bilal’s doctor, a look at Dr. Mirabile’s website appears to confirm those claims. Though gynecology is listed as one of the service categories on his website, fertility treatments are not included as one of the office’s areas of expertise. In fact, the word 'fertility' appears only once on the website, and only as part of a description of what menopause is. It’s incredibly strange that he is the doctor Bilal and Shaeeda decided to see, because it’s clear from Dr. Mirabile’s website that he is not the best kind of doctor to go to when seeking advice on fertility issues.
There have been several comments from fans who feel that there really isn’t much going on in Shaeeda and Bilal’s storyline, and the show has resorted to excessive filler content. In a recent episode, several minutes were devoted to watching Shaeeda clean her tongue and talk about oral hygiene. If that’s what TLC decided to include in the show, then they really must be grasping at straws. It is very possible that the couple’s conflict about having a baby has been inflated by production, and that Bilal and Shaeeda met with Dr. Mirabile because his office was the most cooperative and photogenic.
This isn’t the first time fans have made claims about scripted or staged scenes—especially on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, where there is typically less drama between couples than on other shows in the franchise. Dr. Mirabile seems like a perfectly fine doctor, just not one that you would go to for fertility advice. It appears likely that the scene was staged for maximum drama, not necessarily maximum reality, and it casts doubt on the rest of Bilal and Shaeeda’s storyline.
