The 90 Day Fiancé franchise is full of villainous cast members, including some new faces that have appeared in the franchise during recent seasons. While 90 Day Fiancé focuses on international marriages that take place in the United States, the extended franchise has moved on to feature couples living around the world who are exploring different stages of international relationships. Some villains have been slammed for cheating and lying, while others are loathed for their chronically bad behavior witnessed across multiple seasons. However, some 90 Day Fiancé franchise cast members have made a bad impression on viewers in a short amount of time.

While certain 90 Day Fiancé couples such as Armando Rubio and Kenneth Niedermeier are widely beloved among viewers, other duos like Leida Margertha and Eric Rosenbrook or Geoffrey Paschel and Varya Malina are intensely disliked. The past eight years of extended franchise content has shown certain cast members, including Big Ed Brown and Angela Deem, only continuing to behave worse over the years. In contrast, some villainous franchise figures like Karen Everett and Betty Johnson have made strides to redeem themselves among franchise viewers.

Villains might have emerged gradually in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise over the years, but the more recent content is being more passionately called out by fans. Many viewers believe that TLC does not thoroughly vet which cast members are featured in content. This has led to an increase in unhealthy, unstable, and even scripted relationships. A majority of recent franchise villains are Americans who often behave worse than their foreign partners. Additionally, many of the more recent 90 Day Fiancé franchise villains are men.

Andrew Kenton

Andrew Kenton 90 Day Fiancé

Andrew Kenton appeared on 90 Day Fiancé season 8. His relationship with French-Egyptian woman Amira Lollysa fell through when they were unable to meet up in another country as planned. Andrew memorably enjoyed his Mexico vacation while a terrified Amira was detained. However, Andrew truly became a franchise villain for the way he tried to drag Amira online after the show. Andrew went on a public smear campaign and started posting an array of personal information about Amira online. He attempted to share their correspondences to brand Amira a clout chaser, though his intense desire to see his ex called out by viewers instead led to Andrew being labeled a 90 Day Fiancé villain.

Steven Johnston

Alina and Steven 90 Day Fiance The Other Way

Steven Johnston joined the cast of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3 alongside young Russian woman Alina. While he was first considered quirky, Steven soon became regarded as unfairly controlling and hypocritical. The Mormon man forced his partner to convert to his strict religious beliefs and remain a virgin until marriage even though he later announced that he had slept with multiple women and cheated on Alina. Steven was still being unfaithful by the time of the Tell-All, as he messaged many ladies online to the disgust of viewers. Shockingly, Alina chose to stay with Steven and appears to be happier than ever. However, many 90 Day Fiancé fans still strongly dislike him.

Mike Berk

Mike Berk is one of several villainous personalities who appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5. Though he started as a fan favorite, many viewers flipped the way they thought about the New Yorker as the season progressed. Mike ended up trying to shame his partner Ximena Morales Cuellar for being an adult model, which many viewers thought was wrong of him to do. He refused to leave Ximena's house or take no for an answer after she broke up with him. Mike upset Ximena's children with his erratic behavior and refused to leave even after she broke up with him dozens of times. Mike appeared to think that Ximena owed him since he gave her money and his attitude towards her angered and shocked many franchise fans.

Benjamin Rathbun

Ben Rathbun from 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.

While many Before the 90 Days cast members acted out during season 5, fellow American Benjamin Rathbun was heavily criticized alongside Mike. Ben was a former pastor in his mid-50s who tried to use his faith to date 22-year-old Mahogany Roca. Ben continually brought up how Mahogany was "God's plan" for him. Many viewers found it enormously creepy that the older father of four previously served as a youth pastor. Ben pursued Mahogany despite her obvious resistance to his advances and continually stated that God wanted them to be together.

Emily Bieberly

Emily Bieberly appeared on 90 Day Fiancé season 9, which just concluded and is wrapping up with a Tell-All. Emily is one of three cast members who received vocal and repeated criticism for their behavior. Emily drove viewers crazy with her demanding and demeaning behavior. She constantly talks down to her husband Kobe Blaise and demands that she gets her way in all situations no matter who is involved. Emily controversially decided to conceal her second pregnancy from her parents so that they would pay for her dream wedding even though she didn’t even have enough money to live independently of her family with her first child. Overall, Emily’s behavior was consistently selfish and infuriating for viewers to witness.

Bilal Hazziez

Bilal Hazziez is another 90 Day Fiancé season 9 villain who viewers openly dislike. Bilal’s wife Shaeeda Sween won the support and sympathy of many viewers, as Bilal forced her to put up with a lot of stress. Bilal is extremely controlling and micromanaged Shaeeda frequently. He also demonstrated an extreme lack of trust in his partner and played a cruel prank on Shaeeda to discover if she was a gold digger. Many viewers branded Bilal’s actions as controlling and borderline abusive, as some fear he has more sinister personality traits lurking beneath the surface. Despite being widely disliked by viewers, Bilal will appear in the upcoming season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? alongside Shaeeda.

Mohamed Abdelhamed

90 Day Fiancé season 9 star Mohamed Abdelhamed

Egyptian newcomer Mohamed Abdelhamed is the third 90 Day Fiancé season 9 villain to emerge over the past weeks. Mohamed infuriated many viewers with his expectations of his partner Yvette Arellano. Mohamed asks Yve to follow all the strict rules of his Muslim religion even though she made it clear she would not convert. He also polices the way she dresses even though he only messaged her because he saw a bikini photo of the American mom. Mohamed came across as entitled, demanding, and misogynistic. Alleged text messages from an unidentified woman claim that Mohamed dated her while married to Yve. This accusation supports rumors that he only married the American mother for a green card, which is something that many 90 Day Fiancé fans believe.
