90 Day Fiancé fans have many reasons to believe that Memphis Smith and Hamza Moknii were fired from the TLC franchise. Memphis, 34, and Hamza, 26, first appeared in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5. After meeting through an online dating site, the couple romanced each other for seven months before Memphis took the initiative to go to Tunisia to meet Hamza and get married. Fans saw Memphis’ decision as unusual, considering she was a single mother of two from two different failed relationships, and Hamza was unemployed and from a completely different country.
They were introduced on the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off while on a video call when Memphis revealed the only words they could both understand: “sexy time.” After, when Memphis first met Hamza, she found out his mother wasn’t as open-minded as she thought she was and that Hamza had lied to her about his age. Trust issues had Memphis considering a prenup, but it was too late to do the process. Despite wanting the prenup, the couple got married anyway. A week later, during their honeymoon, Memphis found out she was pregnant, which was at the end of Before the 90 Days season 5. During the "Tell-All" episode, Hamza was already in the U.S., and their relationship seemed to be going well. However, fans believed Memphis and Hamza may have broken up after a few cryptic Instagram updates Memphis posted in February.
As of February 13, Memphis and Hamza were no longer following each other on Instagram. The couple no longer following each other likely indicates they are not in a relationship. By May, Memphis confirmed her split with Hamza by using the hashtag “singlemomlife” in a caption. Nonetheless, in April, InTouch posted about a 90 Day Fiancé fan who reportedly spotted the couple in Muskegon shooting the series with their baby and a camera crew. Fans assumed it was for 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 7. However, Reddit user u/TheDarkBerry noted that Memphis and Hamza are not in the promo that recently came out. The fan speculates that TLC might have cut ties with them after what happened during the Tell-All. A leaked video of Memphis supposedly screaming at production for filming her when she was breastfeeding had also surfaced online in April. The video is seemingly the reason Memphis left the Tell-All early in the first place.
Besides, when Memphis was called out for sleeping with Hamza in his bedroom and disrespecting his mother, she used her Instagram stories to claim 90 Day Fiancé is “most of the time not reality” and is “edited a certain way.” In another rant against the production, Memphis had called the show “the devil’s work” and had prayed for her cast members. Whereas, in June, 90 Day Fiancé fan-favorite Hamza posted a statement on his own Instagram where he wished his “friends from the show a good season” and said sorry to those who wanted to see him on another. “I wished I could continue,” Hamza added as he thanked his fans for their support. The Reddit user believes TLC may have cut ties with Memphis because of the difficult situation.
Fans are upset as they don't know what caused Memphis and Hamza to allegedly be fired by TLC. However, other fans seem to be done with the couple’s story as their relationship didn't end with a "happily ever after." However, for those who do want Memphis and Hamza back on a 90 Day Fiancé spin-off, there is a possibility of a comeback as a secret seventh couple is yet to be announced. Interestingly, Memphis’ Instagram doesn’t mention anything about her being a part of 90 Day Fiancé; however, Hamza has added the show’s name to his bio. If it was Memphis who had an issue with 90 Day Fiancé, maybe Hamza will stay behind for a season of 90 Day: The Single Life.
