Fans of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way are applauding Ariela Weinberg's mom Janice Weinberg for how she mediated the situation between Ari and Biniyam Shibre on Sunday night's episode. Ariela and Biniyam have been clashing throughout 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3. Their altercations have been pretty bad, and for a few episodes, it looked like their relationship wouldn't last through the season. The most recent episode showed Janice stepping in to try and help Ariela and Biniyam repair their relationship.
When Ariela took baby Aviel to the U.S. so he could get hernia surgery, Biniyam turned their apartment in Ethiopia into a music studio, and frequently had friends over to party and make music. He told Ariela that he did this to take his mind off of missing her and Aviel, but he would turn off his phone for hours, which meant that Ariela was unable to reach him. Biniyam's sister Wish reached out to Ariela to tell her that Biniyam had cheated on her, although Biniyam denied those claims. Therefore, instead of returning to Ethiopia, Ariela invited Biniyam to meet her, Avi and Janice in "neutral" Kenya to discuss their issues.
In the latest episode, Janice took Biniyam to get coffee and asked him for his side of the story. She then brought him back to the apartment and explained their conversation to Ariela. Of course, Janice involving herself in the dispute between her daughter and Biniyam could easily be seen as meddling. While some fans think she is too involved, other fans are praising her, saying she is one of the best moms in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, and here are the reasons why.
Janice Is Patient & Understanding 
One 90 Day Fiancé fan, ethelbeaverssassybun, started a thread about how impressed they are with Janice and her mediating skills. The Redditor said that they thought Ariela’s mother was the most patient and understanding cast member that they have ever seen in the entire 90 Day Fiance franchise. Other fans agreed, and some added that they believe Janice’s patience stems from her job. She works as a nurse, so her caring nature may well be due to her occupation. Ariela has been hailed as a villain throughout 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3, for being spoiled and selfish. Fans have also slammed her for being hypocritical when she got upset that Biniyam was reportedly having women over to their apartment. This is because she invited her ex-husband Leandro Fosque to stay with her and Biniyam for a few weeks before she went to the U.S. Some people wondered why Ariela acts entitled, as they haven't seen Janice act a similar way.
Janice Seems To Want Everyone To Be Happy
Many other 90 Day Fiancé franchise mothers are quick to take their childrens' sides without listening to their grown-up kids' partners. Janice, on the other hand, took the time to sit down with Biniyam, away from Ariela. She had a mature conversation with him to understand his side of the story as well. She even thoughtfully invited a translator to join them, to make sure that she and Biniyam could understand each other better. One Reddit user believes that Janice is respectful of Biniyam when a lot of other mothers would just give up on him and try to get their daughter to move back to America. After she spoke to Biniyam, Janice determined that she did not believe Biniyam cheated on her daughter. When she brought him back to the apartment, she told Ariela, in front of her fiance, that she believed he was telling the truth.
Janice Is Well-spoken & Logical
Lots of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans on Reddit said they thought Janice was well-spoken and used logic while speaking to Ariela and Biniyam. One fan said they like Janice because she's warm, positive, and has lots of common sense. Several other Reddit users agreed, adding that they wished their own mother was more like Janice. Some commenters even stated that because of her smart and serene approach to situations, they wished Janice was their mother.
