Discovery Plus Canada has finally launched, and Canadian 90 Day Fiancé viewers are loving the streaming platform. In December 2020, the 90 Day Fiancé franchise show host Shaun Robinson told fans that they would be able to watch special reunion episodes on the streaming app. She claimed that show producers would give fans access to intense scenes on the app that couldn't be shown on regular TV. Many fans then felt betrayed because their favorite content migrated to Discovery Plus (also known as Discovery+). The network wanted the fans to pay an extra fee to watch the exclusive content. However, a lot of fans gradually subscribed to the streaming app. Eventually, they decided to pay $4.99 a month for a basic version, or $6.99/month for an ad-free version.

While many TLC viewers based in the United States were thrilled to watch new spin-offs like 90 Day Bares All and 90 Day: The Single Life, Canadian 90 Day Fiancé fans were disappointed because Discovery Plus wasn't available in their country. Those fans felt cheated because they'd spent a lot of their time watching 90 Day Fiancé and its spin-offs, but couldn't access the exclusive content even though they were ready to pay subscription fees. Some fans tried to watch the new shows using VPNs and wished things could be easier.

Now, Canadians are rejoicing because Discovery Plus launched in Canada on October 19, 2021. The president and CEO of Discovery Streaming and International, JB Perrette, said (via Variety), "We are thrilled to launch Discovery Plus in Canada, a country of devoted Discovery fans and home to many of the most beloved stars in our family." Discovery Plus mostly features non-fiction shows across a host of genres, including nature, true crime, home, relationships, food, and paranormal. The app gives fans in Canada access to different spin-off shows, such as 90 Day Bares All90 Day: The Single Life, 90 Day Diaries, 90 Day Journey, 90 Day: Foody Call, and Love In Paradise: The Caribbean, which premiered on the streaming app first.

Apart from TLC, the app will feature shows from other networks, including HGTV, The Food Network, ID, OWN, Travel Channel, and the Discovery Channel. The streaming app will have popular shows such as Fixer Upper: Welcome Home, and Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Discovery Plus also includes Say Yes to the Dress, No Responders Left Behind, Six Degrees with Mike Rowe, Queen of Meth, and Ghost Adventures. Now, Canadian 90 Day Fiancé viewers are able to watch their favorite shows at their own pace on Discovery Plus.

Most fans are thankful for the spin-off called 90 Day Journey. It is a curated collection of stories that showcase every scene in which a 90 Day Fiancé couple has ever appeared. This spin-off lets viewers watch a couple's complete story, from the beginning until the end, all in one place. 90 Day Fiancé fans don't know why Discovery Plus took some time to launch in Canada, but they are happy that it is finally available.
