Usman Umar AKA Sojaboy from 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days has made viewers think that he’s a total user in many ways during his two-season long stint in the franchise. 50-year-old divorcee Kim Menzies fell for Usman, 32, after she first started talking to him as his fangirl a year ago. While Kim from B90 saw himself as a girlfriend and future wife for Usman, he was having a full-blown romantic relationship on the side, with Zara. He didn't tell the San Diego woman what he was up to. Four months after his breakup with Zara, Usman invited Kim on a trip to Tanzania, where he was incidentally filming a music video dedicated to Zara. Their trip ended with Kim becoming Usman’s official girlfriend, but 90 Day Fiancé fans found out he wasn’t ready to give up on Zara yet.

Before Kim or Zara, Usman was in a relationship with another American woman, Lisa “BabyGirl” Hamme, who was also in her 50s. Lisa was insecure in her relationship with Usman, owing to his growing popularity amongst female fans, but the couple got married regardless during 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 4. The marriage was over before fans saw Usman and Lisa’s relationship conclude on the show. Things became so complicated that Lisa ended up wanting to sue Usman because he was apparently unfaithful throughout their marriage.

Lisa accused Usman of pulling a romance scam, which she said was very illegal in Nigeria. A romance scam is something that involves someone marrying a person in order to gain admittance into a country for a visa. Lisa claimed Usman married her just to be on a TV show, so people would recognize his name and buy his music. According to Lisa, Usman had messed with other women by using the fact that he was a singer. After Usman’s B90 love story with Kim started blossoming on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5, Lisa again spoke about how he had used Kim to get back on the show. Lisa called out Usman’s fraud and suggested that he returned to TLC just so he could promote his music video, “Zara.”

While Usman and Kim both laughed off Lisa’s accusations, the Nigerian singer had admitted that Kim was actually a replacement for his ex-girlfriend, Zara. Kim wouldn’t have been on the show had Zara not broken up with Usman, and she is still under contract with TLC. Usman revealed that he’s still in love with Zara not once but twice during B90 season 5, so it wasn’t a mere slip of the tongue. In fact, when Kim left for America, Usman was seen video calling B90's Zara with his shirt unbuttoned, and asking his ex if she still missed him. Usman’s call to Zara was discussed during the Tell-All Part 1, and Kim confessed that she was humiliated by seeing her boyfriend flirting with his ex on-screen.

Usman asked Kim not to cry, as he insisted that he would never cheat on her, but he seemed to be laughing as she stormed off the set. Even Kim’s son Jamal spoke about Usman not being in love with Kim, but with the idea of her. Usman’s intentions are puzzling to Jamal, and they are strange to 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days fans as well. Fans have long suspected that Usman has been scamming American women to get a Green Card, and as Jamal pointed out, B90's Kim would make a great assistant for Usman after he marries her and launches his career in the U.S. Then again, love is blind, and so is Kim, when it comes to Usman’s sketchy past and the opinions that fans have about him. In fact, Kim may have gone to Nigeria with Usman, where they’re rumored to have gotten engaged.
