90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Evelin Villegas made shocking claims against a show producer who convinced her to film season 2 after Corey Rathbeger’s cheating scandal with Jenny when she didn’t want to do it. When Corey and Evelin admitted they have been married since 2019, 90 Day Fiancé fans were taken by surprise. However, they were also shocked to find out that Corey’s fling with Jenny was actually a four-month-long relationship. However, Corey was dating Jenny when Evelin broke up with him. Still, as the scene unfolded on TLC, Evelin blasted Corey on Instagram as she felt disappointed after he decided to use her hardest moment for entertainment.
The Corey and Evelin drama on social media has kept 90 Day Fiancé fans wondering about their current relationship status. Jenny, who turned out to be Ecuadorian and not Peruvian, earned sympathy, whereas viewers blasted Corey and Evelin for insulting her in their rants about their failing marriage. Corey called Evelin “the other woman” in a social media post, and Evelin was heard calling her “that thing” on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way episode 8. Engabao resident Evelin also called out Jenny for knowing about Corey being married and still staying with him. And via her outrage and mean words used for Jenny, Evelin’s dislike towards her was quite evident.
In a series of Instagram Stories, Evelin answered some burning questions from fans ahead of her 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way episode on Sunday. “Will you keep filming with TLC?” asked a follower, and Evelin replied, “I don’t know about the future, but for now it’s a no. I'm actually taking time to process everything and I need to trust. I trusted my last producer and he completely blindsided me.” Since Evelin has a private Instagram account, Reddit user ginger_soul99 shared a recording of her next Story, where Evelin revealed how the producer lied to her after planning to get Jenny on the show with Corey. “Corey’s very weak and he’s a very smart guy to make him do things,” she said about the unknown producer.
According to cocktail bar owner Evelin, she heard about “all these other women” back on 90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined, and then she got a call from the producer who promised her that he’ll only be filming a video call with Jenny. When Evelin asked him how they would reach out to the woman, she was told, “Oh no, we have our ways.” Evelin admitted that she’s upset because when people give their word, they should be keeping it as well. “I accepted the video call, not a face-to-face scene. If I knew that, I wouldn’t have filmed the season,” Evelin claimed. She accused the producer of lying and noted, “When I give my word, [it] is like signing a contract. I stand by it.”
Meanwhile, Evelin didn’t deny that Corey is also at fault for the mess their 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way relationship is currently in. Evelin believes that he put the show and ratings as his priority and didn’t realize how embarrassing it would have been for Jenny to be told on camera that he didn’t want to be with her. Besides, Evelin also feels that Corey’s decision was disrespectful towards her as she didn’t need to meet someone as unimportant as Jenny in person. Fans have now started wondering why Evelin and Corey are speaking about their current status in public when they have NDAs in place.
