90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple Corey Rathgeber and Evelin Villegas have sparked rumors after the Ecuadorian star revealed that her mental health is in pieces. Corey and Evelin have had a rocky relationship since season 1 of the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off, which shocked fans when they found out they were still together in season 3. During his introduction, Corey confessed that he had cheated on Evelin with a girl named Jenny in Peru. But Evelin forgave her long-time partner and even agreed to get married. However, TLC viewers now believe that there’s trouble in paradise due to their Instagram confessions.
On Friday, Evelin took to Instagram to address 90 Day Fiancé bloggers who were talking about her sex life on social media. While Evelin has not been a fan-favorite due to her scandals with Corey and accusations of being after his money, she felt this was uncalled for. Engabao native Evelin made it clear that she hasn't been in relationships with multiple men. Corey’s partner spoke of bloggers and podcasters spreading lies and their followers doing it too. Evelin said she was “sick and tired” of the rumors about her sleeping with many men and people labeling her something she’s not.
Meanwhile, Corey himself took to his Instagram Stories to support Evelin but ended up spilling a little more than what was required. Mill A, Washington, native Corey asked bloggers/viewers to be more respectful towards Evelin and added, “Regardless if we are in a relationship or not, I will always care about her.” Corey mentioned that online bullying can break even the strongest of people before expressing that Evelin has had to deal with this for years. “It isn’t easy and no person should have to go through the amount of online bullying that Evelin has,” Corey wrote while asking Evelin supporters to reach out to her. Evelin also took to Instagram to share her thoughts, which was reposted by blogger John Yates.
Instead of thanking Corey for having her back, Evelin ended up calling him out for doing this for attention. The 90 Day Fiancé star thanked everyone who reached out to support her but wrote that Corey “doesn’t care.” Evelin asked her followers to see what Corey was “doing right now.” According to Evelin’s now-deleted Instagram Story, Corey doesn’t care whatsoever about her mental health, even though he knows she is “in pieces.” She concluded, “It’s a shame that he goes on IG to be all nice when the reality is way different.”
Fans have mixed feelings about Corey and Evelin’s Instagram exchange. Some believe it’s too similar to the arguments that Tiffany Franco and Ronald Smith often have, which fans think should stop since they're washing dirty laundry in public instead of resolving their issues in a healthy manner. Still, Corey cheating on Evelin and her still marrying him is also a red flag to TLC viewers as they hope that whatever the outcome of their 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season, the couple stays happy.
