90 Day Fiance: The Other Way showed fan favorites Evelin and Corey but what have they been up to since the show and is their relationship strong? The two seemed destined for success but did Corey end up giving up too much for her?
Corey Rathgeber was a sweet guy from the United Stated who just wanted a strong marriage like his parents. He thought he had found that in Evelin Villegas but soon found out she had no desire to ever settle down and get married. Evelin loved her country and never wanted to live in the United States, which left Corey with the only option to leave and move to her. He learned Spanish and opened up a business with Evelin only to find out she had cheated on him with his only friend in town. Fans did not think that Evelin deserved such a nice guy.
The volatile couple last revealed that they had broken up but were stuck in lockdown together in Ecuador. Even though the 90 Day Fiancé couple never married on the show, it was later revealed that Corey and Evelin actually were married and owned a bar together in her hometown. The couple has been on a roller coaster with their unstable relationship, which has made for some great television. This instability ultimately led to an unhappy ending for the two.
After a quiet period on both their social media accounts, Evelin posted less than a month ago about Corey having a drinking problem and needing help. In what looked to be a cry for help but felt more like an attention-seeking move, she posted a lengthy story about how she couldn’t help Corey anymore. She claimed that for the past two years, she had been trying to help the American. Corey, on the other hand, shared a post saying that he was absolutely fine.
The couple still is living in Ecuador and owns the beach bar. There has also been no information on if or when Corey would return to the United States, but it looks like he will be staying put. Fans are hoping to see an update on an upcoming season since the two always bring the drama to the small screen.
