Evelin Villegas from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way has revealed that she had met with a scary accident while Corey Rathgeber was busy making mistakes in his relationship with Jenny. Although TOW season 3 started off with Evelin forgiving Corey for his fling and planning a wedding, he soon confessed there was more to the Jenny story. Not only was Jenny not from Peru, but she and Corey also had a relationship for four months. Corey had even met her parents and was planning to move in with Jenny. Meanwhile, Corey’s wife Evelin, who now wants a divorce from the Washington resident on 90 Day Fiancé, couldn’t reach out to him when she had the accident.
Fans have been calling out Evelin for being dramatic about Corey cheating on her with Jenny, when she herself had cheated on him during 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 1. Some are even accusing Evelin of being a hypocrite as she also allegedly dated some other man while being legally married to Corey. Moreover, Evelin has always come across as manipulative and rude in her behavior towards Corey. Several viewers think she’s only with him for his money and perks such as the $50,000 wedding. It is assumed that Corey is being taken advantage of by Evelin and that he should leave her and pick Jenny.
However, Evelin’s confession during the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way episode 8 does shed light upon why she’s so upset with Corey. As per a preview clip shared by 90 Day Fiancé on YouTube, Corey and Evelin visit a couples therapist. During the session, Evelin breaks down in tears and admits that when she and Corey had broken up a year ago, she suffered a devastating accident. “Some drunk guy was driving and hit my car and everything was destroyed,” explains Evelin as photos of the totaled car flash on the screen. While Evelin was luckily okay, she was also traumatized and “very very terrified.” Despite this, Corey didn’t show his support to Evelin and made her go through the trauma alone.
“He was the only person I contact for support, but clearly he didn’t care enough,” admits Evelin. The reason behind Corey acting like this was him being “too busy trying with somebody new.” Meanwhile, Corey is demanding that his wife Evelin should give him a second chance while learning to forgive and forget. But Evelin mentions that if someone does her wrong, she forgets about them by cutting off ties immediately. However, the therapist on 90 Day Fiancé insists that couples who have to face infidelity issues mostly pass through the situation and have an even better relationship. But this can happen only as long as the couples are willing and want to work towards it.
As per the therapist, Evelin won’t be able to move forward in the relationship when she holds the grudge against Corey and Jenny. While the car mishap is the latest secret of the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple to be revealed, fans are wondering what else they could be hiding. Moreover, Evelin has also called Corey a “lying coward” and it appears that she’s still trying to get him to sign the divorce papers. Corey has been labeled a “simp” and Evelin is being told that he didn’t come to her after the car mishap because they were broken up and “that’s what a breakup is.” It remains to be seen if Corey will end their toxic relationship for the sake of both Evelin and everyone who’s watching.
