Evelin Villegas was devastated to discover the real nature of her secret husband Corey Rathgeber's relationship with Peruvian beauty Jenny on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3. However, 90 Day Fiancé fans are labeling Evelin a hypocrite for her tearful response to Corey dating Jenny after Evelin broke up with him, especially because plenty of evidence has emerged to suggest Evelin was also seeing other people while legally married.
The Other Way viewers were not happy to see Evelin and Corey cast for another season given the demeaning and rude way Evelin treats Corey. Fans further felt scammed by the revelation that Evelin and Corey have been secretly married for two years. However, the couple's relationship has been filled with many ups and downs. Before filming, Evelin broke up with Corey. This led to Corey dating Peruvian beauty Jenny. When Corey returned to Ecuador to gather his things and move in with Jenny, he ended up quarantining with Evelin and reigniting their relationship. Though Corey initially downplayed his relationship with Jenny, he finally came clean, which led to Evelin seemingly calling for a divorce.
Numerous Reddit threads have been calling Evelin out for her hypocritical behavior, as viewers have gathered evidence that she also dated multiple men while with Corey. U/AshtonKechamall shared photos of Evelin being exposed by her former co-star Laura Jallali on Instagram. "Here. People seem to forget she has numerous boyfriends. Not part of their storyline," the user captioned the images. "Wasn’t she seeing her ex behind Corey’s back during the beginning of the series?" one fan commented about Evelin. "Oh I haven’t forgotten and wondered why NO ONE is saying that!! She is no better than Corey," another user ranted. Others called out Evelin for allowing Corey to sink his money into her business before deciding that she wanted to kick him out.
Though many viewers have slammed Evelin for being a bully and hypocrite, Laura's campaign to smear Evelin and Corey has also cast a bad light on herself. "Evelyn went off and partied with that gross Laura lady who treated Aladin like s***. Didn't they have some dispute over trashing a rental? And this was after Cory already received the title of El Cachudo de Engabao. These two are such frauds. I wish they were off the show," one top commenter ranted. Other users blasted Evelin for taking advantage of Corey. "She used Corey. I don't think she ever really loved him in the first place. She only wanted free stuff, which he provided, and then she wanted a $50,000 wedding?. ... His innocence (or dumbness) was an easy target for her and she took advantage of it," another user wrote.
Overall, both Evelin and Corey have left The Other Way fans frustrated. Evelin is regarded by many to be a massive bully who constantly belittles and demeans Corey and doesn't care about his feelings. However, viewers are also annoyed that Corey doesn't put an end to what appears to be an abusive marriage. Some viewers have suggested that Corey should return to Jenny, as she appears to be kind and loving. Other 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way viewers think Corey should divorce Evelin and go back to his life in the US.
