The stars of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise are under a lot of pressure to look their best, but Emily Larina recently opened up about her skin troubles during her second pregnancy. After season 7, Emily and husband Sasha Larin continued to grow their family and will be welcoming a second child. Although her first pregnancy was a breeze, Emily admitted on Instagram that her second go-around has been more difficult.
In season 7, viewers were introduced to Emily and Sasha who were both living in Russia. Emily had been living abroad when she met Sasha and got pregnant. Though she was enamored of her bodybuilding fiancé, Emily had some difficulty with the relationship, including the fact that Sasha was still married when he met Emily. But the couple got through their troubles and soon after Emily gave birth to their son Davidik, the family of three moved back to Emily’s home in Idaho, where they’ve been living ever since.
Emily recently revealed that she is pregnant with her second child and that she and Sasha are planning to move back to Russia. She has also gotten candid about her difficulties with baby number two. “Honestly, my skin has never been worse. This pregnancy has given me worse acne than my teenage years,” Emily said in an Instagram Story. “With Davidik, I was a glowing goddess. Trying to cure it using gentle, pregnancy safe products but no luck. Gimme your tips, tricks, product recommendations pleassse.”
Fans were eager to offer their best skincare advice and suggested a variety of treatments, including aloe, rice milk cleansers, charcoal masks, and more. One fan said her skin problems could indicate that the baby is a girl and Emily replied, “I would be thrilled if it’s a girl. Sasha hopes it’s another boy.” She admitted that she’s been using “face smoothing filters” in her photos, and it was brave of Emily to be so honest about something that can have such a big impact on her self esteem.
On 90 Day Fiancé, when she gave birth to her first child, Emily suffered serious birth complications, so by comparison, acne is a pretty innocuous side effect. However, bad skin can really chip away at one’s self image, and it’s not surprising that Emily has been struggling with it. Her fans came up with some great skincare advice though, and hopefully one of the treatments they suggested will be just the thing to clear up Emily’s skin and give her that new mom glow.
