Emily Larina, star of 90 Day Fiancé, suffered serious birth complications when she delivered her son David. However, there's a new storm brewing between her and fiancé, Sasha.
Emily was forced to undergo an emergency C-section while in Russia. Her fiancé was in the emergency room with her, which isn't a common practice in his country. However, she required his presence, not only to experience the birth with her, but to translate instruction from the hospital staff since she only speaks English. After a grueling seven-hour labor, Emily was informed that her baby wasn't in the optimal position for him to be delivered naturally. She was visibly distraught by the news, which was translated to her by Sasha.
Sasha's lack of enthusiasm for the birthing process was evident throughout the episode. He seemed a little irritated by the amount of time it took Emily to give birth. It turns out he just wasn't present for his other sons' entrance into the world. "I think last times, I was working," he says. "Probably, I don't really remember."
Emily is a teacher who hails from Portland, Oregon. The self-professed one-time party girl met and fell in love with personal trainer Sasha while working abroad. Emily admitted that she was starved for human interaction in his country prior to their meeting, so, when the two became acquainted at the gym, she was pleased to form a friendship with him. However, in a shocking disclosure, Sasha's previous relationships with his ex-wives prophesied a habit which could spell trouble for the couple.
Emily asked to meet Sasha's ex-wife Masha to get permission for their son Daniel to travel to the United States. During a taped confessional with a show producer, Masha outlined the end of her relationship with the handsome trainer. She noted that during her marriage with him, he grew bored after she got pregnant and took up with another woman. He left Masha for his second wife, who also became pregnant. Then he met Emily. It was implied that a flirtation between the two may have contributed to the demise of Sasha's second marriage. That disclosure cast a shadow over the rest of the episode, which should have exclusively served as a celebration for the couple's romance and birth of their son.
The arrival of Emily's child David is a wonderful occasion, even if her birth plan might not have been what she expected. Of course, that's the risk when having a child in a different country with different maternity customs. Through it all, she proved she's a trooper. Her son appears to be a beautiful and healthy bundle of joy. Now, fans just have to watch their relationship and whether Sasha sets his sights on any new women once he and Emily begin their life in the United States.
