Fans think Emily Bieberly from 90 Day Fiancé was drinking alcohol while pregnant during her wedding with Kobe Blaise in the finale. Emily, 29, met 34-year-old Kobe during a short stay in China where she was teaching English. Emily and Kobe fell for each other hard and fast after a one-night stand, and were soon engaged. Within a few weeks, Emily found out she was pregnant with Kobe’s baby. She returned to America, Kobe went to Cameroon, where he’s from, and waited for two years to see his partner. It was only after their son Koban turned 17 months old that Kobe got to meet him and Emily on 90 Day Fiancé season 9.
Emily and Kobe dealt with many differences between them, primarily caused by Emily’s trust issues. She mocked Kobe whenever she got a chance and humiliated him instead of learning to compromise. While fans insisted that Kobe should leave Emily and go back home, the couple found out that they were pregnant again. Because Emily and Kobe, along with Koban, were already living with Emily’s parents in their Salina home, the couple knew how a second pregnancy before marriage would shock them. Kobe was stressed about Emily’s dad David not knowing about her pregnancy, but she wanted to keep it a secret until the wedding out of guilt. After all, David only wanted one thing from Emily while he supported her new family, for his daughter to not get pregnant again.
The couple decided to not tell the family on the wedding day, and it was five days later that her parents David and Lisa, and sister Madeline learned the truth. Fans spotted Emily holding champagne flutes containing what they think was alcohol during the reception and called her out for it. Reddit user u/Disastrous-Owl-2358 made a post about how 90 Day Fiancé celeb Emily was “obviously drunk” at the wedding. “As if she couldn’t get any worse,” they added. Another fan u/peachhcoblerr thought Emily looked “very sloppy” in the confessional with Kobe, while u/MyYakuzaTA called Emily “irresponsible and immature.”
However, a video on Kobe’s Instagram of him, Emily, and their family in a limousine after the ceremony shows Emily pouring herself a tall glass of a drink which cannot be identified. “Congratulations - but I hope for the baby's sake, that's non alcoholic bubbly,” reads one of the top comments on Kobe’s IG post. During a previous 90 Day Fiancé season 9 episode, Emily had commented that she had bought non-alcoholic beer for the rehearsal dinner so that no one could tell Emily's pregnant. Meanwhile, a different 90 Day Fiancé fan explained that it’s not anyone’s place to say anything. “You don't know what her doctor told her she could do,” they added.
Emily’s parents didn’t take too well to the news of her being pregnant, since David and Lisa felt they should have been more established before having a second child. “The baby’s just not coming at a great time,” Emily’s mom said who wanted her daughter to move into her own home. Madeline commented that Emily has been taking advantage of her parents. Emily has been reckless when making life decisions, however that doesn’t mean she doesn’t care for the wellbeing of her child.
