90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way cast member Ellie Rose is asking for donations on a GoFundMe page she’s set up to help Victor’s Colombian island, Providencia. Seattle-based restauranteur Ellie came across as a very likable person to 90 Day Fiancé fans when she spoke of moving to the Caribbean island to be with Victor in season 3. However, Ellie and Victor’s first-ever scene on TLC was him telling her about category five Hurricane Iota that struck his home in November 2020. Spoilers reveal that Ellie will lose contact with Victor as he goes missing before the storm, and she’s also started a fundraiser as per her Instagram.
It was while Ellie was on a trip to South America all by herself that she met a friend and traveled to “mini Jamaica” Providencia and bumped into 90 Day Fiancé star Victor at a bar. Wowed by his piña colada-making skills and "dreamboat" persona, Ellie felt an instant connection which Victor who she then dated for two years and prepared to marry in America. But, Ellie also found out that Victor cheated on her and she still was okay with uprooting her life for the musician when Hurricane Iota passed over Providencia. As Ellie flew to the island, distraught and desperate to locate Victor, their 90 Day Fiancé relationship was at stake, but she’s still doing her best to help out her love, his family, and the 5,000 people of Providencia.
Unlike most other 90 Day Fiancé stars, Ellie tries to stay away from posting on social media. Yet, Ellie did use her @ellroze page to share an update about the GoFundMe titled “please help Providencia” which she’d set up on November 18, 2020. “Almost a year after the hurricane Providencia is still in need of supplies, help with school supplies and basic needs. Please help if you can,” Ellie wrote in her post which has been liked by her co-star Ariela Danielle. “Pizza queen” Ellie has a goal of $10,000 and has managed to raise $6,330 so far from 48 donors. “On top of covid, these people/my people just lost everything. I planned to be with Victor by now to build our future together on Providencia,” 90DF TOW star Ellie had noted in her description. “Every cent that is donated will go to rebuilding peoples homes and livelihoods,” Ellie has written.
Ellie left for Colombia on November 19, 2020 to help Victor’s sister who lives on the mainland, to “bring the family to us.” On November 22, 2020, Ellie had reached Colombia and had posted her last update on November 16, 2020, thanking friends for their donations. And on August 2, 2021, Ellie mentioned, “people in Providencia could still use some help.” As per Ellie, Victor’s mom’s house is almost done rebuilding, but “there are still thousands of people waiting to fix or rebuild their houses and with another hurricane season coming they need shelter” as there are some who live in tents.
Since both Ellie and Victor are not active on social media, their current whereabouts cannot be deciphered. The 90 Day Fiancé celeb Ellie was back in Seattle as her Central Pizza page had updated a photo of her in late June. Victor too is suspected to be in America, although his Instagram is set to private. But Ellie is still trying her best to help rehabilitate Victor’s “undiscovered jewel in the Caribbean” which suggests that this 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple has survived the storm.
