90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way newbie Ellie Rose revealed that she broke up with Providencia native Victor when he admitted that he cheated on her. Introduced to 90 Day Fiancé viewers in season 3, Ellie and Victor present an interesting storyline in a preview of the 2021 spin-off. The new couple started their relationship after Ellie went on a solo trip to Colombia and ended up on an island bar to get smitten by Victor and his pina colada.
Seeing new couples join 90 Day Fiancé is always a welcome change for long-time franchise fans who’ve grown tired of seeing the same old recycled storylines they did on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? The trailer showed a very likable 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way newbie Ellie revealing that she decided to move to Providencia but later wondering if it was all worth it with Victor’s changed behavior. It was Victor who stopped Ellie from going back to the United States after her brief Providencia visit, and the couple also kept talking continuously until they decided to get married. However, Victor’s visa interview scheduled for March 2021 got canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, and it was then that Ellie decided to move to “mini Jamaica” herself.
According to a story by InTouch, Ellie may not have put much thought into leaving her thriving and hip pizza place in Seattle behind to be with Victor, who broke her trust while they were dating long-distance. In a scene from the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3’s premiere, Ellie meets up with a friend, Hiromi, who does not agree with Ellie uprooting her life for Victor as he’s been unfaithful in the past. Ellie then confesses to the cameras that seven months ago, she found out that Victor was cheating on her. The girl that Victor was with had messaged Ellie and told her, “Hey, we’re together now, we don’t need any ex-girlfriends,” asking her to leave the island-dweller boyfriend alone. But there was more to this story than Ellie expected.
Ellie also shockingly reveals that Victor wasn’t just hooking up with the mystery woman: “They had an entire relationship.” 90 Day Fiancé: TOW cast member Ellie confronted Victor, but he expectedly denied cheating on her. However, he eventually accepted his fault after his other woman sent Ellie photos and screenshots as proof and gave her more details about the relationship. “After that, he stopped denying it, but he put most of the blame on her, like, ‘She tricked me. She trapped me. I was lost. I didn’t know what I was doing,'” Ellie added. The Nevada native accepted that she was let down and extremely upset by Victor, leading her to break up with him, though he didn’t give up on getting back together.
Victor’s efforts seemed sincere enough to Ellie, who forgave him and decided to give their romance a new life. Ellie claims that she’s forgiven Victor now but hasn’t completely forgotten his infidelity. Still, nothing stopped Ellie from taking a chance. The couple will have more challenges to face on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. This includes a category 5 hurricane, after which Ellie doesn’t hear from Victor for days and gets terrified with the scale of destruction on the island, amid their many relationship troubles.
