Former 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Ella Johnson revealed her weight loss progress in a rare photo with a TLC fan. 29-year-old Ella made her debut on season 5 of the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off alongside 34-year-old boyfriend Johnny Chao. Johnny made plans to meet Ella in America, but he could not leave China due to the COVID-19 pandemic and his personal issues. Johnny, a divorced single father, feared for his son and elderly parent's health and future in case he fell sick because of the coronavirus. He kept delaying his U.S. visit, and Johnny also refused to meet Ella midway which resulted in her cheating on him.
When Johnny was introduced to 90 Day Fiancé viewers, he’d made a big deal out of Ella’s weight. In one of his scenes, Johnny had visited a doctor to get herbal medicine to make Ella slim. The 90 Day Fiancé franchise star's friends had made insulting comments about Ella’s size as well. While Ella may have been unaware of what Johnny’s mean friends thought of her, she was also trying to get slimmer for Johnny. As per Ella, once Johnny arrived in Idaho, he was going to cook healthy meals for her while living the ranch life. She said she was trying to lose 10 pounds and had even joined a gym to reach her goal. “Hopefully 20, but at least 10,” Ella had told the 90 Day Fiancé cameras in episode 5.
But Johnny has yet to meet Ella in person. After the Before the 90 Days Tell All, Ella revealed she and Johnny would continue their journey on 90 Day Diaries. While Ella and Johnny's segment has not aired yet, TLC fans did get an update about Ella via Reddit user The_Chuckness88. The Redditor reposted a photo of Ella with a fan they’d come across on a 90 Day Fiancé Facebook page. Ella seems to have stopped by at the La Quinta Inn and Suites in her hometown, and the fan pictured next to Ella checked her in. Ella looked stunning in her galaxy print top and leggings with a zodiac theme. Another Reddit user, Loose_Attitude3742 commented, “She looks like she’s lost a little weight, good for her.”
Some fans ridiculed Ella’s unique outfit. But a few were glad to see how happy Ella was looking, after having watched her cry on almost every episode of 90 Day Fiancé. Someone found it suspicious that Ella was checking in at a local hotel. They appeared curious to know whether Ella was having yet another rendezvous with a new “friend” behind Johnny’s back. A couple of commenters felt sympathy for Ella who could have just wanted a staycation away from her home at the hotel. Either way, fans such as ImAfraidOfTheBeard noticed Ella’s weight loss, and thought she was “glowing” and looked “absolutely amazing”
Even though Ella was shown cheating on Johnny on the show, and he expressed how upset he was with her decision to go ahead with an open relationship, the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days couple had a different story to tell. According to both Ella and Johnny, they had very much agreed to see other people, so she never really cheated on him. Despite the infidelity, Ella and Johnny were still going strong until March, which is when fans last heard from them on Instagram. Johnny still hopes to meet Ella in the U.S. and once that happens, surely fans will find out via their social media or through 90 Day Fiancé.
