90 Day Fiancé star Ella Johnson appears to have been active on dating apps during her relationship with boyfriend Johnny Chao as per evidence uncovered by fans on social media. In a recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days, Ella admitted to cheating on Johnny who’s still stuck in China. Loneliness in their long-distance relationship made Ella apparently reach out to a friend for support, who she eventually cuddled and slept with. While Johnny was shocked himself, his behavior was all the more shocking to TLC viewers. Instead of breaking up with Ella then and there, Johnny asked for her ring size instead. Alas, fans think that Ella - who aced playing the victim - has plenty more secrets hidden under her sleeve.
When fans met Ella for the first time on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days, she had already appeared frustrated at Johnny who’d not come to the US yet. Ella had grand plans of showing Johnny her ranch life and planning their future together for when they became husband and wife. While Ella was honest about how her search for a “fox demon” had led her to find her “Asian Prince” Johnny, she had also opened up about struggling with finding love with local men. Then again, Ella didn’t have to wait long after her open relationship conversation with Johnny to find someone to have sex with. Because of Ella’s earlier confessions about her unsuccessful dating life in Idaho, some viewers even wondered if she’s lied about cheating on Johnny.
With that said, a few observant 90 Day Fiancé viewers spotted a major clue during Ella and Johnny’s scene that indicates she had been using Tinder behind his back even after admitting to her mistake. It appears that Ella had Tinder notifications while she was video calling Johnny according to a screenshot shared on Reddit. One fan claimed to see the icon for Ok Cupid in Ella’s notification bar as well, but someone dismissed them saying it was the logo of Credit Karma instead. Alas, seeing the recognizable Tinder icon infuriated fans, with some of them posting comments like, “Probably showed the notification bar on purpose. ‘See? I actually can get laid!’” and calling Ella the "female version of Big ED.”
One 90 Day Fiancé viewer called Ella manipulative while noting she wasn’t even going to tell Johnny she had cheated if he had told her he was meeting her in Dubai. Meanwhile, Johnny is still trying to get to the US amidst the COVID-19 cases rising all over again in his country. He’s also shockingly taken most of the responsibility for Ella cheating on him. It could be possible that Johnny is also hiding a secret that made Ella want to teach him a lesson by getting close to another man. Otherwise, Johnny already agreed to Ella’s open relationship idea in a scene that didn’t make it to the final edit.
