Fans of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days are growing skeptical that Ella Johnson and her boyfriend, Johnny, will end up meeting in person on the show, but Ella recently hinted that, at the very least, they still have plans to. 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5 recently aired its fourth episode, and fans just met Johnny for the first time. There are several factors causing fans to be dubious that Johnny will be able to leave his home country of China to join Ella in Idaho.

Ella and Johnny planned for him to spend three months in Idaho with Ella, working on her farm, which would require him to quit his job and leave his young son, Stony. This seems like a dubious plan to many viewers, but because of COVID-19 restrictions and border closures, it also seems like it may not be able to happen at all. Ella's self-proclaimed "Asian fetish" is another thing that makes fans think these two are not going to work out. Ella and Johnny met on a social media page called “Asian men, White women," and both share a love of Japanese anime. Ella has been slammed for stating that her soulmate is a Japanese anime character and then dating a Chinese man from a completely different culture.

Despite all this, Ella recently took to Instagram to share a clue that she and Johnny are still together--or are, at the very least, still talking. A fan commented on her latest Instagram photo and asked if she had been to an anime conference based in Los Angeles, California. The reality star commented that she had only been to anime conventions in Idaho but that she hoped to "go to many more with Johnny."

Ella also dropped another hint that she and Johnny are still together. The Idaho Falls resident reposted a meme to her Instagram Story that praised Johnny for sticking up for her when his friends were making fun of her weight in the most recent episode. Along with the meme, Ella wrote the words "Told ya it's love." There are no pictures of Johnny on her Instagram page, but TLC likely prohibits stars from posting couple photos too early in the show as it may give things away.

Although these comments indicate that Ella and Johnny still have some kind of a relationship, they don't prove whether or not Johnny was ever able to come to the United States. Ella and Johnny could likely still be talking while Ella remains in Idaho and Johnny is still in China. Skeptical 90 Day Fiancé fans may think this is the case, but it's still too soon on the show to tell.
