TLC viewers slam 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Ella Johnson’s attitude towards her Chinese boyfriend Johnny expressing serious COVID-19 concerns. Idaho resident Ella met Jinan native Johnny on a “White Women Asian Men” group. She is currently waiting for Johnny to join her in the U.S. on 90 Day Fiancé. The single dad has quit his job and is leaving his son and elderly parents in the middle of a pandemic. However, Johnny’s Singapore visa has been denied, and he’s concerned about flying to America amidst rising COVID-19 cases.

Ella is not ready to believe in Johnny’s genuine fears as her friends think there’s something else he is hiding. Viewers have come to realize that Johnny has been honest about most of the things in his relationship with Ella. Now, Johnny’s parents are concerned about him getting COVID-19 and falling sick since he’s the primary earning member of their family. In episode 7 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Johnny explained to Ella that he checked the curve and was thinking of the worst-case scenario. Meanwhile, Ella was “frustrated” about Johhny not coming since “he’s vaccinated, he’s smart, he bought a total like… hazmat suit for traveling.

After seeing Ella act selfishly during her entire conversation with Johnny, a 90 Day Fiancé viewer on Reddit, StreberinLiebe posted, “Is anyone else SUPER pissed off about how little Ella cares about Johnny's concerns around traveling to the US during Covid???” In the comments, viewers noted that Ella has no understanding of real-world issues and is a “coddled baby” who only cares about her Asian Prince boyfriend coming to the U.S. “He was being so reasonable and voicing legitimate concerns about traveling. She is an idiot and selfish AF,” wrote one user.

Over the past couple of episodes, viewers have been wondering if Ella has given a thought to Johnny being the sole breadwinner of his family. Also, some are concerned  Ella won’t be a good mother to Johnny’s five-year-old son Stony in the event Johnny decides to bring him along to the U.S. Ella is not bothered by what would happen if Johnny has to return to China to be with Stony in case of an emergency. When Ella claimed the situation is not “risky enough,” Johnny was quick to point out that he tends to be cautious while Ella engages in what he refers to as “American thinking.” The different ways Ella and Johnny are dealing with the pandemic suggest they will have cultural clashes that affect the way they look at things such as finances and parenting.

Plus, despite Johnny explaining everything that could go wrong if he decides to travel, Ella stubbornly told him, “This is on you. I am not going to change my opinion. I want you here now.” 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days viewers are applauding the peaceful way Johnny handled the conversation. In the end, Ella revealed she’s thought about moving on. However, Ella was spotted calling Johnny her “man crush Monday” in a recent Instagram post, suggesting she finally understood Johnny’s dilemma and is still together with him.
