Earlier this month, Elizabeth "Libby" Potthast Castravet, who is currently pregnant with her second child, made headlines along with her husband, Andrei Castravet, when the couple announced Libby is having a baby boy.

Libby, Andrei, and the Potthast Family starred in season five of 90 Day Fiancé and later appeared on season six of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Libby, who met her Moldovan husband while traveling in Ireland, has since removed herself from her siblings' messy drama, a move which has drastically improved her image with fans. While Libby focuses on her family and her business endeavors, her commitment to personal growth has not gone unnoticed.

She Used To Be An Actress

90 Day Fiancé wasn't Libby's first foray into the entertainment business. According to Starcasmthe reality star has acted professionally for many years. Libby, whose mother is a talent agent, has accumulated several small acting roles on her IMDb page, including playing a cashier on in popular series Homeland. She also played a high school student in a movie called Secrets In The Snow.

Many cast members claim 90 Day is scripted. Viewers have also called out storylines, including several involving Libby and her family, for allegedly being staged. It's possible Libby is now using her theatrical skills in the reality series.

She's The Baby Of Her Family

Libby is the youngest of six children. For a long time viewers were only aware of the existence of her sisters, Jenn and Becky, and her brother, Charlie (and their spouses). However, recently a Potthast Family throwback photo emerged confirming Chuck and his ex-wife, Pamela, actually have two additional sons who do not appear on the reality show.

Older siblings are known for being protective, which might explain why Libby's brother and sisters are so suspicious of her husband, Andrei, in the show. No matter their intent, the Potthast siblings' dislike for Andrei often seems more like unnecessary drama than genuine concern.

Her Family Is Always Getting Into Trouble

There are many difficult family members in the 90 Day franchise and at least half of them are Potthasts. The family's bad behavior does not appear to be limited to their on-screen antics. According to Starcasm, almost every member of the Potthast Family has a criminal record.

Libby's father, Chuck, was arrested in 2009 for failing to pay child support, and was ordered to pay a lump sum of nearly $20K in arrears. Several of Libby's siblings have been arrested for DUIs, driving with suspended licenses, operating unregistered vehicles, and similar charges. Her brothers and sisters past charges, make their collective judgement of Andrei seem incredibly hypocritical.

She Tries To Embrace Andrei's Moldovan Culture

Andrei is originally from Moldova, a small Eastern European country bordering Romania and Ukraine. Libby has worked hard to embrace her husband's culture and customs including his, sometimes problematic, views regarding gender roles.

The couple had a U.S. wedding as well as a traditional ceremony in Moldova, which was complicated by the fact that Andrei announced Libby would need to be baptized into his strict Orthodox Christian religion in order for the two to wed. On the show, the reality star said of her baptism, "I don't really know what it's going to be like, but I'm ready to do it so we can move on and finish with our wedding."

She And Andrei Have Big Career Aspirations

While there is not one particular career 90 Day stars pursue for a living, many of them, such as Pedro Jimeno, Brittany Banks, and Bilal Hazziez, go into real estate. Libby and Andrei are no exception, as they hope to launch a house flipping company together.

Last year, Andrei asked Libby's father, Chuck, for an $100,000 loan to help the couple get their business off the ground. While Chuck, who also owns a real estate company, did not immediately pull out his checkbook, he did extend a job offer to Andrei. He also agreed to reconsider the loan once Andrei, who accepted his offer, gains the skills he needs to maintain such a business.

She's An Influencer

Libby is among the 90 Day stars with huge Instagram followings. She has become one of the most popular cast members on the social media platform, with over 800K followers and counting.

Like many 90 Day cast members, the reality star has leaned into her celebrity status and partnered with many brands such as Every Plate, Viori Beauty, Modern Fertility, and more. Libby regularly posts with sponsored products on her Instagram page. Ever the entrepreneur, Libby is also active on YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, Cameo and, of course, the adult content creation site, OnlyFans.

Fans are convinced Libby and her over-the-top family are playing up their drama, and even scripting their fights, to capture the attention of producers and earn a Potthast spinoff. The strategy worked for Chantel and Pedro's families, who now star in their own spin-off, The Family Chantel.

Her Father Is Cancer-Free

Libby's father recently opened up about his battle with bladder cancer. Earlier this year, Chuck announced he's now cancer-free in a long-awaited video update on Instagram. In a beachfront update, he said his cancer has been in remission for five years.

Even though the rest of the Potthast Family can be awful, Chuck  is one of the most supportive 90 Day parents. He was critical of Libby's relationship with Andrei early on, but he has since embraced his son-in-law, even offering him a job and helping the young couple with their financial needs. In fact, Chuck helps all of his children, most of whom work for his company. He's also been a very vocal about wanting to put an end to the family feuds and fighting.

She Wants A Big Family

In 2019 Libby talked about her future family as part of an Instagram partnership with Modern Fertility. In the post's caption Libby stated that she and Andrei have decided they "want more kids in the near future." She went on to say, "I've always wanted an idyllic family of 6 (including Andrei and I)."

It isn't surprising she wants a large family, as she grew up one of six children. It seems like Libby and Andrei have been working towards their goal. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Ellie, in 2019 and Libby is currently pregnant again, this time with a baby boy.

She's A Leo

Libby was born on July 30, making her a Leo. According to Astrology.com, Leo signs are fiercely independent and natural leaders. The reality star exhibits many of these qualities with her entrepreneurial spirit and business savvy.

Andrei is an Aquarius, a sign which shares many similarities with Libby's Leo sign. The two are actually quite compatible, with Libby often compromising and letting Andrei take the lead in their relationship. She, on the other hand, handles much of their public lives and, with the couple's large fan following, she's likely made a pretty penny in her social media endeavors.
