Libby and Andrei Castravet are back for another season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, but the couple is still continuing with many of their season 5 plot lines. In fact, Libby and Andrei’s story has been slammed by viewers for being too repetitive, as the couple is once again engaged in familiar drama with the Potthast family. Catch up with where season 5 left Andrei and Libby and how it plays into their season 6 drama.

The first few episodes of Happily Ever After? season 6 have been rocky for Andrei in particular. The husband of Libby boldly asked her father Chuck for a $100,000 loan to compete with the Potthast family real estate business. Chuck turned down Andrei’s request, which has since been widely mocked by viewers. However, he offered to once again bring Andrei in on the business if his children approved. Libby’s brother Charlie, who has a history of not getting along with Andrei, was skeptical of the idea. This led to Libby lashing out at her brother, which caused fans to criticize Charlie as well.

For those who need a refresher, Libby and Andrei concluded season 5 in a similar place of familial drama. The end of season 5 saw the couple traveling to Andrei’s native Moldova for their lavish wedding ceremony. The drama between Andrei and the Potthast family reached an all-time high after it was revealed that Andrei was a detective in Moldova but he left due to potential legal issues. Charlie couldn’t keep his contempt for Andrei to himself, and he lashed out at his brother-in-law and called his father weak for supporting Libby and Andrei financially for both their rent and wedding. This led to explosive outbursts by Charlie, who could not be calmed down by his family.

While Andrei revealed a surprising mature side during the season 5 finale, he displayed more of his notorious bad attitude during the following Tell-All. The three-part season 5 Tell-All featured Andrei putting his co-star Larissa Lima on blast for her plastic surgery transformation. Andrei referred to her as “Michael Jackson 3.0” and also discussed family drama. Libby criticized her husband, who was still a stay-at-home father, for not doing enough for the family. Libby agreed that her husband could be mean and aggressive and the couple revealed they were struggling a bit throughout quarantine. Charlie continued to insult Andrei and the Potthast family doubled down on their criticism of Moldova. Additionally, Charlie maintained that he considered Andrei a criminal and did not trust his brother-in-law. These are all issues that continue to affect the family.

Libby, Andrei and the Potthast family have received many complaints from viewers. Fans have called for Happily Ever After to feature a rotating cast so that fresh relationships, updates and issues can be explored. However, other couples have also been called out for airing tiresome drama. Many viewers are also highly critical of 90 Day Fiancé staple Angela Deem’s continuation in the show despite her inappropriate behavior. However, many fans are excited to see where 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? takes fan-favorite duo Yara Zaya and Jovi Dufren.
