Debbie started The Other Way season 4 as a strong contender for a new 90 Day Fiancé franchise fan-favorite. Though she displayed shockingly bad judgment when it came to her relationship with young Moroccan man, Oussama, Debbie showed a unique blend of sass, charm, and heart. Debbie dealt with heartbreak when she discovered that Oussama didn’t want to live with her in Morocco, as she had planned to spend her golden years with the man she wanted to marry. This lead to Debbie dumping him when he wanted a ticket to the U.S. Although this earned Debbie fan support, her actions at the Tell-All are being heavily criticized.
Debbie Slammed For Jeymi Comment
Reddit user kittapea shared a clip from the Tell-All part 2 that saw Debbie voicing her sympathy for Kris Foster, as she compared Kris’ wife Jeymi to Oussama and called Jeymi a “predator” who had used Kris. Debbie’s wording is earning her harsh blowback from viewers who have overwhelmingly backed Jeymi during her relationship drama with Kris. "I like Debbie but I like Jeymi more ! Don’t mess with Jeymi, Debbie!" one angry fan declared in a top comment. Viewers rushed to defend Jeymi, as they noted Debbie fell for a scam, while Kris told Jeymi to quit her job and promised to support her before marrying her.
Is Debbie Projecting Her Feelings?
While it appeared clear that 90 Day Fiancé fans largely disagreed with Debbie's stance on Jeymi, users also accused the older woman of projecting her feelings. "Debbie may have a certain ditzy charm, but she's got a terrible judgement regarding relationships and "true love" and is doing a WHOLE lot of projection here," one user wrote. Other commenters agreed that Debbie was calling out Jeymi in place of Oussama, who actually appeared to be a user. "She's projecting more than an IMAX," another commenter agreed. "It's because of her own recent trauma, but still, so unfair to project this on Jeymi. NOPE," a third fan added.
