A sneak peek from the next episode of 90 Day: The Single Life shows that Debbie Johnson is feeling the love after a whirlwind weekend with her new boyfriend, Tony, and that love is a scary feeling. Viewers first met Debbie as the widowed mother of Colt Johnson during his journey to the altar with his fiancée, Larissa Lima, in 90 Day Fiancé season 6. Since her initial debut as Colt’s overbearing and dependent mother, viewers have watched Debbie blossom and evolve over recent years. After her husband passed away, Debbie spent more than 13 years as a single woman and lived with her son and their cats as her only companions.

Debbie watched Colt’s various relationships and attempted to put distance between them, and decided she was tired of being alone. Debbie was introduced as a main cast member during The Single Life season 2, where viewers followed her misadventures in dating. However, easing into the dating world was easier said than done for Debbie as she experienced a series of unfortunate events, including getting ghosted by a married man. It appears Debbie’s luck is finally changing during The Single Life season 3. The most recent Single Life episode revealed that the new man in her life, Tony, traveled from his home in Canada to visit her in Las Vegas for her 70th birthday.

Tony and Debbie’s Las Vegas weekend was a success, to say the least. After being celibate for over a decade, Debbie proudly proclaimed she had once again been intimate. A sneak peek of the next episode of The Single Life, shared by People, featured an emotional Debbie as she said goodbye to Tony at the airport and admitted she's falling for him. "I don't want him to leave," Debbie professed. "I would rather he got to stay or I was on a plane with him." As Tony and Debbie held one another, a confessional revealed that Debbie has not been in love with anyone since her husband, Harley, a feeling that has begun to change. However, Debbie’s excitement was coupled with concern that Tony may not be prepared to hear how deep her feelings run.

90 Day Fiancé's Debbie Terrified By Long-Distance Relationship

Debbie Johnson from the 90 Day: The Single Life season 2 Tell All

"I got to tell him how I'm feeling," she said. "I'm afraid of how he's going to react because we just met 36 hours ago and he's going to think I'm crazy.” As their embrace ended, Debbie told Tony, "I think I'm falling in love with you,” to which he said, “I think I’m falling in love with you too.” After their declarations, Tony headed inside the airport to catch his flight back home to Canada. Now that Debbie and Tony know how one another feels, they face the challenge of maintaining a long-distance relationship, something Debbie has never done before. As the clip ended, Debbie admitted, “I don’t know how this is going to work, and that terrifies me.”

After spending decades alone, it appears that Debbie’s dating mishaps and persistence in her quest for love are now paying off. Her fear of the obstacles that come with a long-distance relationship is not enough to prevent her from trying to make it work. While Debbie has never been in a long-distance relationship herself, she has observed her son and her fellow Single Life cast members as they have navigated their multinational relationships. It appears these examples have been helpful for Debbie and Tony as they were recently spotted together, several months after episode 4 was filmed.
