On The Other Way season 4, Debbie Aguero pursued Oussama, but things didn’t go as she planned. Her family had warned her that Oussama was a scammer, but Debbie believed in her heart that her poet boyfriend was the real deal.
Not long after arriving in Morocco, Debbie learned that Oussama expected to come back to the U.S. with her—something they hadn’t discussed. Debbie was heartbroken but stayed strong. She confronted Oussama and ultimately, Debbie decided to leave Morocco after Oussama’s shady behavior. A great way for Debbie to find that love is on the spin-off The Single Life, and there’s a spot in the cast that was just vacated by a different Debbie.

Debbie Johnson was most recently featured on The Single Life season 3, and unlike her first season on the spin-off, this time she was successful at finding a man. After falling hard and fast for Canadian man, Tony, Debbie left her long-time home in Las Vegas and is now living with Tony in Canada. The two seem to be very happy together on social media, and it’s safe to say that Debbie won’t be returning to The Single Life. Debbie has found her man, and has no desire to continue dating. That means there’s space in The Single Life cast, and more importantly, space for a new storyline featuring an older woman looking for love.
Debbie Aguero Deserves A Redemption Arc
Debbie Aguero is the obvious choice to fill this spot in the cast. Like Debbie Johnson, Debbie Aguero would provide a different kind of storyline than one normally sees. Plus, she became a fan favorite on The Other Way season 4 for her amazing one-liners, unflappable confidence, and her decision to leave Oussama when he mistreated her. More importantly, another chance in the franchise is something that Debbie deserves after all she went through with Oussama. The Moroccan man truly hurt Debbie, but she seems adamant that she won’t isolate herself again as a result. On The Single Life, Debbie could explore the dating pool, and viewers could watch her do it.
Now that Debbie Johnson is happily taken, fans deserve another Debbie, a better Debbie. Based on what viewers saw on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Debbie Agureo could be that Debbie. She’s brimming with confidence and assurance of her self-worth, and her quirky nature is infinitely entertaining. With a Debbie-shaped hole in The Single Life’s cast, Debbie Aguero should step into the spotlight and bring fans along on her journey to find a real love.
