Deavan Clegg tells curious 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way viewers why baby son Taeyang calls her boyfriend Chris "Topher" Park “dad” and not ex Jihoon Lee. Deavan welcomed Taeyang in 2019, and the baby made his reality TV debut in TOW season 1. Back then, Jihoon wasn’t able to be in America to witness Deavan giving birth. Even now, Jihoon is in South Korea away from the baby boy viewers often see on social media with the 90 Day Fiancé star and her new partner Topher.

Jihoon previously said, "I’m nervous but I know I will be the best father," when asked how he felt about being a dad to both Taeyang and Deavan’s daughter Drascilla. However, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way painted a different picture, as Jihoon was shown being irresponsible and, in one episode, couldn’t stop Drascilla from running into traffic. Meanwhile, Deavan moved to South Korea in season 2 and came back to America last year amid Jihoon admitting his wife claimed he had abused Drascilla and demanded a breakup. Deavan maintained she wanted to co-parent Taeyang, and her Korean husband blocked her.

While 90 Day Fiancé viewers are familiar with Topher due to his frequent appearances on Deavan’s Instagram, it was only in October that she made her first official public debut with her boyfriend. Since then, many have been curious about Deavan and Topher’s relationship, and one asked her if her “kids call Chris dad? Or by his name?” The follower also wanted to know if this will change if and when Deavan gets married to Topher. Deavan revealed Drascilla doesn’t call Topher her dad, but Taeyang does, as Topher has been in the boy’s life "since he was 1.

Deavan wrote that her son will be turning three soon and “it’s all Taeyang knows.” She insisted they didn’t force it upon Taeyang but that the baby learned to say it on his own. “Love is important,” Deavan said as she added, “blood doesn’t make family. Love does.” Apart from Topher having shaped her kids’ lives, he has also taught Deavan how to be confident and love life. “He’s changed our lives in so many ways and we are very blessed to have him,” she commented after posting a photo where Deavan and Topher dressed up as Squid Game characters.

In a different story, Deavan stated she’s “very glad” to not be with Jihoon anymore. As confessed by the young couple previously, Deavan and Topher met on a plane when they were both traveling to Korea for the first time. They happened to have a mutual friend, and Deavan joined Topher on “a quarantine date” at his home in LA for the first time in 2020. Meanwhile, Jihoon has not been staying active on Instagram following his GoFundMe page being shut down in April. Recently, Deavan also announced that she had “full physical and sole custodyof Taeyang and that Jihoon could call his son but would be allowed visits only if he takes anger management classes.
