90 Day Fiancé couple David Toborowsky and wife Annie Suwan are getting yet another spin-off, which is a cooking show. After Pillow Talk, the TLC twosome will be cooking up a storm (and showcasing their kitchen chronicles) in a one-of-a-kind 90 Day Fiancé Facebook Watch series.
David, 48, and Annie, 24, were the star couple on 90 Day Fiancé season 5. After he met Annie at a local bar in Thailand, David brought her along to Louisville, Kentucky on a K-1 visa. While David showed signs of financial problems, infidelity, and substance abuse, Annie still married him. Then, they started to create their very own 90 Day Fiancé success story. TLC fans followed David and Annie’s journey via another spin-off (90 Day Fiancé: What Now?) which showed the couple's problems with David Toborowsky’s job and Annie’s work permit, as they stayed above a storage facility. The two have since managed to turn things around, with David getting an opportunity to teach English to Chinese students online and then moving to a new home in Fountain Hills, AZ. Since their debut on Pillow Talk, David and Annie have gained even more love from fans, thanks to their wholesome relationship. This explains why TLC is giving them yet another fun 90 Day Fiancé spin-off.
TLC already has 10 spin-offs for the popular franchise, including 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Darcey & Stacey, etc., and is adding two more to the extensive list. According to People, the network announced the news of David and Annie’s Facebook Watch series on Tuesday. Called Spice It Up with David & Annie, the show will take fans into the couple’s kitchen and give an up-close and personal look into how they create scrumptious Thai-inspired meals. Of course, the cooking is garnished with David and Annie’s usual comedic banter, including the witty remarks that 90 Day Fiancé fans have come to adore. A teaser for the spin-off shows the pair cooking Chicken Thai Basil. The clip also shows kitchen secrets and hacks shared by Annie, with David Toborowsky helping by stirring in his signature sauciness.
Along with Spice It Up with David & Annie, TLC is also launching Ask Mama Chantel, a spin-off for the network’s ongoing show, The Family Chantel, featuring matriarch Karen, who answers fans’ burning questions about love. In a statement released by the network, Howard Lee, who is the TLC president and general manager, said: “David, Annie and Chantel’s mom Karen are three larger-than-life personalities whom fans have fallen in love with over several season and spinoffs of the 90 Day franchise.” He added, “While we continue to lead with women audiences in cable, partnering with Facebook Watch lets us go deeper with current 90 Day devotees and expand to all-new digital audiences."
This is the first time that TLC is launching content in partnership with the popular Facebook Watch. 90 Day Fiancé’s escalating popularity is also helping its cast members gain fame and financial success. It’s safe to assume that more 90 Day Fiancé spin-offs are in store this season.
Spice It Up with David & Annie premieres on Facebook Watch on Wednesday, October 28.
