Big Ed’s true colors are finally on full display, and the other 90 Day Fiancé stars, including David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan, are beginning to rally around his ex-girlfriend Liz. Fans have called for a boycott of Big Ed after audio of an abusive phone call with Liz leaked online, and now the franchise’s stars are taking a stand against him as well. The truth about Big Ed’s problematic behavior has come to light, and Liz is finally getting the support from the cast that she deserves.
Fans knew that Big Ed and Liz’s breakup was bad, but they had no idea the full scope of abusive behavior that Liz had to endure. Many fans are hoping that Ed gets cut from the franchise completely and are looking to the rest of the cast to speak out against him. Initially, it seemed that franchise alum David still supported Big Ed, and fans weren’t pleased. But that couldn’t have been farther from the truth, and David and Annie’s continuing social media activity proves that.
Annie came out strong on Instagram recently, with a selfie of her and Liz captioned, “I’m Standings [sic] by my girl.” It’s a clear indication that she’s taken Liz’s side and is prepared to turn her back on Big Ed. David also made his opinion known, commenting on the photo, “I am so proud of both of you for being strong women.” Both of the franchise OGs have also unfollowed Big Ed on Instagram, so clearly they have no problem cutting ties with the once-popular cast member.
Fans have flooded TLC’s Instagram with #CancelBigEd and have even started a petition, but they’re still predicting that Big Ed will stay on TLC despite his awful behavior. However, if the other stars from the franchise speak out against Big Ed and his continued inclusion in the series, the network might actually listen and do something about it. Just like dominoes, if one star stands against Big Ed, others will follow. Robert Springs and Fernanda Flores also voiced their support in the comments of Annie’s post, and there will likely be others in the future.
Big Ed’s behavior towards Liz was inexcusable, and fans of 90 Day Fiancé are right to want him off their screens. Thankfully, it seems that they’ll have help from the stars of the franchise. David and Annie have made a strong statement taking Liz’s side, and hopefully it’s only the beginning of the franchise’s stars speaking out against Big Ed. Liz has had to deal with enough narcissistic and abusive behavior from her ex, and it’s time that TLC and the rest of the franchise do right by her.
