90 Day Fiancé fans have recently found similarities with Darcey, who is a 90 Day Fiancé staple, and Stephanie a new cast member on season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé. Fans even think they are long-lost, sisters. Darcey has burrowed a soft spot in the hearts of many 90 Day Fiancé viewers, all she simply wants is love.
However, to be honest it was not always like this. Fans dragged Darcey for the antics she pulled on the show, that is before the joint show she had with her sister Stacey where viewers understood her slightly better. When Darcey first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days, a reality TV star was born. At first, fans thought she was simply another cougar when she went to go meet her boyfriend Jesse in the Netherlands. However, she proved to soon be a fixture in the franchise. When her entanglement with Jesse erupted in flames and burnt to the ground, Darcey was back and this time she was blonde, and she was meeting Englishman Tom. Viewers did not think Darcey could be in a worse relationship, but she found herself in one. The manipulation from Tom and unnecessary insults made fans feel for Darcey and soon they even began to root for her. When Darcey and her sister managed to snag a show from TLC, fans got to see her life a little bit more, though there is a general consensus among fans that Darcey is spoiled and can't seem to grow up. Then finally there was Georgi. Darcey has entertained 90 Day Fiancé fans to no end, however, her journey on the franchise has been long, Stephanie’s however is just getting started.
In the beginning, Darcey cried almost constantly. When she and Jesse would fight or when Tom would confuse her on the status of their relationship she would cry. Her crying face became a meme on the internet. Now, it seems that Stephanie is following in Darcey’s footsteps, a cougar holding on to her youth with plastic surgery, they have that in common, along with an odd crying face. A fan on Reddit commented, “As soon as she came on, I was like....’ Look what Darcey did.’ The shame is, if she would act her age and date someone her age, she'd do fine. She's an attractive woman, and aside from being batshit crazy, seems to have her life and business in order.” This sentiment echoes Darcey because she has her life together. Darcey is a successful mother and businesswoman, yet her love life always seems to be in shambles.
There is a possibility that if things do not work out with Ryan, Stephanie might be offered a spin-off show, although she may not want to work with the show again considering the sexual assault allegations against Ryan.
This season of 90 Day Fiancé has provided viewers with so many references as some fans have even said Debbie walked so Betty (Brandon’s mother) could run. This is true because the trouble Julia and Brandon have gone through because of his parents has been especially cringy to watch considering Brandon and Julia are grown adults. It may be safe to say that the producers of 90 Day Fiancé have a type when it comes to casting.
