Darcey and Stacey Silva tasted reality TV success with 90 Day Fiancé. Darcey’s failed relationships on the TLC show made her a big name, and twin Stacey joined her in the spotlight. Soon, their spinoff Darcey & Stacey gave fans a glimpse into their affection and “twintuition.” But back in 2018, the 90 Day Fiancé stars reportedly had a major altercation that got them arrested. Stacey later claimed there was more to the story then what met the eye. The alleged arrests have become a big part of Stacey and Darcey's stories.

Darcey made two of her back-to-back relationships public on national TV with 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. First, it was Darcey’s relationship with Amsterdam-based model Jesse Meester that resulted in an explosive breakup on screen and then one with her British boyfriend Tom Brooks. The TLC show saw Darcey talk about her love for younger, foreign men, and her twin sister echoed her thoughts by dating Albanian Florian Sukaj for over five years. The Silva sisters and their search for love made its way to Darcey & Stacey, where they spoke about getting married, having children, and even divorcing their husbands at the same time. Yet, there was once a story that circulated which made 90 Day Fiancé fans doubt their closeness.

Starcasm reported about the House of Eleven founders getting arrested in February 2018. In reportedly happened in their hometown of Middleton, Connecticut after an argument. It escalated into a severe showdown where they attacked one another by “pushing and pulling each other around the house.” The incident also had two “unidentified witnesses," with the arresting offer commenting on both Darcey and Stacey’s accounts. “Darcey Silva stated that her sister began arguing with her and throwing items around the apartment. She reported that her sister also pushed her around. She stated that she never put her hands on her sister,” reads the account about Darcey.

Meanwhile, “Stacey Silva reported that her sister was woken up and became extremely upset and started having a verbal argument with her. Stacey said that during the argument she knocked over a lamp and flipped over the kitchen table and chairs. Stacey also stated that they both put their hands on each other during the argument and were pushing each other,” states one about Stacey. Meester has offered his two cents on the incident by commenting, “I am not with her [Darcey] so I do not want to be involved in what she does,” and “Whether she drinks or fights with her sister I don’t care. I just pray that one day she will stop this and take ownership for her own growth."

Following this dramatic event, Stacey finally shared the true story in a 90 Day Fiancé Live aftershow in October 2018, per InTouch. “First of all, I want to say my sister and I love each other very much and we’re twin sisters, we have an amazing bond, we have arguments like any other sibling,” shared the Darcey & Stacey personality. Stacey suggested that the fight had been about Jesse: “It was just tit for tats that night. Honestly, we have for tats all the time, I tried to open her eyes on many occasions to let her know that I feel like [Jesse] was not being a good person to her and manipulating her in his own right — even though he says she manipulated him.” From Meester's statement, it's clear he's uninterested in whatever happened between the sisters. This is despite Stacey's claims he played a major role in the incident. Stacey also spoke about the outcome of the altercation, confessing they got "citated" after the fight but never handcuffed or jailed. The case was eventually dismissed. The TLC star continued, “It’s nothing I wish upon anybody, we learned our lesson. It brought us stronger together.” 90 Day Fiancé fans have come to realize that the statement, “love them or hate them, you just can’t ignore them,” stands true for Darcey and Stacey Silva.
