Darcey Silva from 90 Day Fiancé is infamous for her multiple plastic surgery makeovers, but the Darcey & Stacey star has also been using unrealistic filters to alter her look on Instagram. With Darcey's life constantly judged since she debuted on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Darcey always gives fans something to talk about on social media. In 2020, Darcey got her own TLC spin-off alongside twin Stacey Silva which gave a microscopic view into her love life and shocking transformations. Darcey & Stacey season 2 shows the Silva sisters going to an infamous Turkey clinic for their Barbie makeovers. However, Darcey getting caught sucking her stomach in as her filter glitched is drawing major criticism from some fans.
Perhaps one of the most successful reality TV stars to have been introduced via 90 Day Fiancé, Darcey has been a mainstay in the franchise due to her relationship drama and many unbelievable makeovers. The Middletown, CT resident has completely altered her look many times on the show and has appeared nearly unrecognizable with each new season of 90 Day Fiancé. In a similar way, Darcey is not unfamiliar with using several filters and becoming a victim to Photoshop fails in a bid to look perfect on Instagram. However, with Darcey getting a new “twinsformation” alongside Stacey during a luxurious Turkey vacation, fans thought it would be the last they’d see of the filters.
The Darcey & Stacey twins have supposedly done multiple surgeries at once this time around, from getting a Barbie nose, a lip lift, a snatched jaw and waist, and a breast reduction. A full reveal of Darcey’s final look was also revealed on Instagram, flooring fans. Alas, the effect filter-free Darcey had on fans didn’t last long. In her new IG upload, fans claim to see a filter jumping off her face as the 90 Day Fiancé star seemingly sucks in her stomach. That particular video has been reposted by @90daywdfb*tch (included below), with the blogger writing: “Darcey inhaling all that air just to pose for the video. Girllll let that air out we all know you're holding it in.”
One particular TLC fan asked Darcey Silva why she was still getting “all these surgeries and still not feeling 100% confident” about herself. In the comments, other fans roasted Darcey for seemingly “preening” and “sucking in.” One fan joked, “I like when you can see the face filter on her lip jump, As it corrects its position.” Another fan seemed concerned that Darcey might pass out due to her “sucking in her stomach.” On her own IG profile, Darcey Silva’s post got a lot of mean comments such as asking, “All the surgery and still the filters?” and declaring, “Your face is glitching.”
Interestingly, a preview of Darcey & Stacey season 2’s premiere episode showed Darcey looking natural, but she still got dragged for her apparently “cheap” hair extensions. The 90 Day Fiancé icon was mocked for living the “high life” but still using bad extensions which looked like “lice” to some fans. Many were of the opinion that Darcey should be spending less on her fillers and get proper extensions. It appears that Darcey will continue to get mocked by 90 Day Fiancé critics even if she ever decides to be herself and ditches the filters.
