Danielle and Mohamed Jbali are 90 Day Fiance royalty, appearing on several seasons of the franchise and its many spin-offs. They had one of the most tumultuous relationships of any couple on the series, and were known for their short-lived and drama filled marriage. Despite all of that, Danielle seemed to have genuinely fallen in love with her ex-spouse, Mohamed, and here are the reasons why.

First appearing on season 2 of the original 90 Day Fiance, Danielle met Mohamed in an online chat room. The mother of three said she did not set out to find something romantic in the chat room, but was just looking to meet new people online who were from all over the world. It was there that she met Mohamed, a man from Tunisia who was 15 years younger than her.

Danielle said that one of the things she liked most about Mohamed at the start of their relationship was that he was not like American guys, especially not ones his age. She liked that he was a good looking man in his twenties who was also not looking to go out partying all the time and took an interest in her. Mohamed showed her a world outside of the U.S. as well, as she had not traveled outside of the country before going to Tunisia to meet him. Mohamed proposed over video call to Danielle, though the pair had only spent a combined two weeks together in person, and she said yes.

Danielle said that though she was hesitant at first, she ultimately agreed to marry Mohamed because she loved and cared about him, and did not ever want to leave him. However, shortly after he made his trek to the U.S., the pair faced several insurmountable trust and intimacy issues. They had several highs and lows over the course of their relationship, eventually becoming unlikely friends in 90 Day: The Single Life.

The pair are responsible for some of the most dramatic moments in the series, including Mohamed sharing intimate details of their sex problems and Danielle threatening to annul their marriage so Mohamed would get deported. Many fans of the show believe that Mohamed was using Danielle for a green card, knowing that she truly cared for him, and Danielle has shared how betrayed she felt by him.

Though their relationship ultimately ended after Mohamed left Danielle and moved to Florida, the pair recently reconnected on 90 Day: The Single Life. Mohamed finally apologized to Danielle for everything he had said in the reunion shows, and the pair seems to be enjoying their friendship. Mohamed still maintains that he, at one point, also loved Danielle and was not using her for the green card. In an unlikely Tell-All moment, Mohamed also appeared angry that everyone was dredging up the past instead of focusing on how much Danielle is thriving, especially with her high marks in nursing school. They may not still be together, but Danielle and Mohamed are finally getting a 90 Day Fiance happy ending.
