Daniele Gates, newcomer to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise has revealed why she’s not moving to any other city in the U.S. instead of relocating to the Dominican Republic with Yohan Geronimo. Daniele, a 42-year-old single mom, met Yohan, a 32-year-old personal trainer, in a hotel lobby during a vacation. Five months later, Daniele got married to him on Love In Paradise: The Caribbean. Daniele from New York decided to go 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 4 by leaving her teaching job in New York City, while Yohan studied English to move to America.

90 Day Fiancé's Daniele Gates is getting called out by fans who think that if NYC was too expensive for her, she could have moved to a different city in the U.S. itself. 90 Day Fiancé celeb Daniele planned on staying in the DR for a year but now has plans to settle down there for life. While doing a Q&As session with Instagram followers, a curious fan asked Daniele, “Have you considered staying in the US just different places? Or DR is must?” (via John Yates.) “So I have to think about what are the things that I’m going to do, right?” Daniele said.

According to her, if she was going to stay in the U.S. it would only be to keep her pension, “and that’s only going to happen in New York.” Daniele continued, “Lets imagine I went to Florida, to teach there, I’d be starting at minimum salary.

With 20 years of experience as a teacher under her belt, The Other Way season 4 star Daniele doesn’t want to be doing any of that. She feels the cost of living would be “way more expensive” because “teachers make nothing.” Moreover, Daniele doesn’t want to teach in a place where they are banning books and having arguments about gender pronouns, especially when she is a “radical liberal.” Daniel has considered it, and she still doesn’t desire it. Instead, she desires to live somewhere that is the “second most biodiverse place in the world.” Daniele believes it will help her develop a different, deeper relationship with the Earth. “And every morning I can walk to the ocean here and medicate and in every afternoon, I can watch the sunset.” 90 Day Fiancé cast member Daniele asked her fans, why she would go back to the U.S. if the Dominican Republic is “way better in so many ways.

Yohan knew he wanted to come to America once he got married. He even started learning English for it. Little did he know that his wife had not even applied for Yohan’s visa. Daniele, who had told him they would stay together in the DR, temporarily shocked him by revealing she was now looking for permanent accommodation in his country. With no job at hand to do once she moved, Daniele still thought of the DR as a better option than New York City, where she’s stayed for the last 15 years of her life. At the same time, it also gives The Other Way season 4 star the advantage of leaving Yohan easily in case things go south in their married life.

Daniele made it clear that she’s still not fully trusting Yohan despite their wedding in November 2021. It’s been over a year since they married, and Daniele still stays in the DR, where she’s also conducting a retreat soon as a part of her yoga and wellness brand. Daniele who was “manifesting” a job to come her way in the Dominican Republic is not just doing what she likes best to earn a living but is also becoming a popular 90 Day Fiancé star. That will eventually help her get signed for more spin-offs, and hence will give The Other Way season 4 cast member more fame and money.
