90 Day Fiancé star Daniele Gates recently opened up on social media about the reason why she decided not to get lip fillers, unlike many of her fellow franchise castmates. Daniele made her franchise debut on Love in Paradise: The Caribbean season 2 and has recently moved on to 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 4 along with her husband, Yohan Geronimo. Recently, the two have had disagreements over where to live, and Daniele’s insistence on staying in the Dominican Republic, where Yohan is from, has earned her significant criticism.
Though many 90 Day Fiancé stars have undergone cosmetic procedures after appearing on the franchise, Daniele revealed that, while she considered getting lip fillers, she ultimately decided against it. In an Instagram story, The Other Way season 4 star reposted an image from a news story about lip fillers, and commented about what changed her mind. “@mashbeauty warned me about this when I considered getting my lips done (I never did it),” Daniele said. She mentioned that when skin is filled up, it stretches. “And then when it’s not cool anymore,” Daniele added, “you have all this stretched out skin." Daniele thanked the makeup artist, Masha, for giving her such good advice and “saving my face.”

Daniele has been very open on the show about her spirituality and desire for a more natural way of life—it’s one of the primary reasons why she wants to leave her home in New York City. So it’s surprising to find out that Daniele is (or at least was) interested in cosmetic procedures like lip fillers.
