90 Day Fiancé star Daniele Gates admitted she enjoys living in the Dominican Republic because it feels safer than everyday life in New York. The 43-year-old reality star is currently featured in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 4 with her Dominican husband, Yohan Geronimo. During the season, she has expressed her desire to never return to the United States again after filing for bankruptcy in 2022.
There has been a lot of curiosity about 90 Day Fiancé's Daniele Gates' move to the Dominican Republic and why she prefers living there instead of finding a cheap city in America. With some bold remarks in an Instagram Story, Daniele explained why she likes the Dominican Republic more than New York. She wrote, "No one was shooting heroin. No drunk homeless people pissed on me. No one hissed at me or asked me to smile." Daniele stated many inconveniences while traveling in New York City, including feral "rats."

Daniele enjoys traveling on public transportation in the Dominican Republic, which she considers "faster and more often than any bus" she has ever waited for in New York City. Daniele posted her reason with a video of her traveling in a Dominican public transportation vehicle, which she claimed had a "less than 2 [minute]" wait time. Daniele feels safe in the Dominican Republic and never feels like anyone has ill intentions toward her, will rob her, or worse. According to her, it is "a beautiful feeling to be safe and on time."
Daniele wasn't extremely famous when she initially appeared on Love in Paradise: The Caribbean. However, her appearance on The Other Way has made her universally popular on social media but for all the wrong reasons. Since Daniele comes across as a condescending and entitled American on 90 Day Fiancé, it is hard to respect her opinions about New York or the Dominican Republic. Besides, she may have inadvertently lowered her chances of getting more yoga retreat clients due to her snobbish attitude on The Other Way.
Still, Daniele's latest pictures from the Dominican Republic suggest she is very happy there with her beau, Yohan. She has an unexplainable glow on her face and always tries to share positive things with her Instagram followers. It is plausible that the New York native will shed her villainous image on social media by the time The Other Way season 4 ends. However, even if the 90 Day Fiancé franchise star does not do that, she'll likely have a comfortable life in the Dominican Republic, especially considering that she previously revealed her alleged massive monthly earnings, which are more than enough to keep Daniele happy.
