The 90 Day Fiancé franchise might focus on international marriages, but viewers have doubted the intentions of many partners over the years. Though marriage is the end goal for many pairs featured in the extended franchise, viewers have called out many cast members for not appearing to be serious about their relationships. Discover which couples 90 Day Fiancé fans never expected to make it down the aisle and the outcome of the messy relationships.

Back in 2014, the 90 Day Fiancé franchise was launched to examine the K-1 visa process for international partners joining their American fiancés in the US. The couples had 90 days to marry, which meant they should have hammered out the fine details of their relationships ahead of time. However, many partners were not ready for nuptials when they landed in the US. This led to fights, allegations, rumors, and chaos for many of the couples in the extended franchise.

In some instances, audiences find that couples are glaringly incompatible. Though certain couples have been focused on marriage, viewers have begged them to split up before they make a legal commitment. On the other hand, sometimes audiences only notice one 90 Day Fiancé cast member shying away from commitment. Though half of the pair might be determined to marry, viewers have called out cast members who appear to be stringing their partners along. This has led to viewers urging cast members to dump their partners and move on with their lives.

Azan Tefou & Nicole Nafziger

Azan Tefou and Nicole Nafziger were a mismatched couple who audiences doubted would ever marry. For one, Azan admitted to only being about “55%” attracted to his American partner due to her weight. Meanwhile, Nicole refused to adapt to Azan’s conservative Moroccan culture. Though Azan asked Nicole to back off from PDA in Morocco, Nicole put her needs first. This resulted in plenty of fights for the pair. Meanwhile, viewers theorized that Azan was trying to scam Nicole out of her money in order to fund his own career interests. Audiences argued that Azan had never intended to marry Nicole from the start. Though Azan and Nicole appeared in both seasons 4 and 5, the couple never made it down the aisle. Azan and Nicole split before marrying and have appeared to move on with their lives.

Amira Lollysa & Andrew Kenton

Amira Lollysa and Andrew Kenton from 90 Day Fiancé season 8 were another pair who audiences immediately doubted would marry. Glamorous French beauty Amira was in over her head when it came to dating American daycare worker Andrew. Audiences were furious with Andrew insisting Amira meet him in other countries, which infamously resulted in her being detained in Mexico while he enjoyed the resort. Viewers were begging Amira to leave Andrew when she finally had enough and chose to not try to meet up with him in yet another country. Fans confirmed that Amira dodged a bullet when Andrew furiously blasted his ex online after their breakup. The American tried his hardest to smear Amira’s reputation, which led to many viewers being happy she got away.

Stephanie Davison & Ryan Carr

Stephanie Davison and Ryan Carr are another season 8 couple who left viewers unconvinced when it came to their love story. American Stephanie met her younger partner on vacation in Belize. Viewers immediately noted the couple’s age gap and how Stephanie appeared to fit the “sugar mama” persona. However, the revelation that Stephanie had slept with Ryan’s cousin, Harris, during one of their breakups is what truly convinced audiences that the two should not marry. Stephanie and Ryan did break up after he deceived her by not using a condom. Audiences were then shocked by another messy surprise when Stephanie considered bringing Harris to the US in place of Ryan.

However, Big Ed’s attitude is what alienated him from audiences. Big Ed proved to be wildly offensive as he insulted many things about Rose, including her breath and body hair. Viewers were happy when Rose dumped Big Ed. Many fans went on to claim that Big Ed’s next public relationship with Liz on 90 Day: The Single Life was staged, as Liz appeared to be visibly repelled by Big Ed. Evelin has made it clear she has no desire for marriage or children. However, she started planning her dream wedding on The Other Way despite her former objections.
