The kind of over-the-top drama happens in 90 Day Fiancé; many fans wonder if what they see is real or staged. So, let's get to know what some of the 90 Day Fiancé stars have to say about it.

When it comes to reality shows, especially the most intense TLC's 90 Day Fiancé, viewers often question whether the couples are real or their stories are exactly as shown. Fans wonder things like (via Reddit), "I have a hard time believing that some of these people say and do the things they do," "I'm pretty convinced the show seems legit. Maybe I'm easily fooled," and "I just don't know how natural a person can and act when there are 3 cameras following you around all the time." Nikki Cooper was part of David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan's story. During her YouTube video, she told her subscribers, "I wouldn't say that there's a written script that's like, 'Hey, read this line, read this line. But there are times where there are different people or producers that come up to you and say, 'Oh, I think it would be cool if you do this,' or 'I think you should say this.'"

According to In Touch, the former 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Avery Warner opened up when a fan told her that her social media personality seems quite different from what's shown in the show. Avery replied, "Can't always believe what you see on TV. You guys get 5 [percent] of the real story, and that's constructed how the network wants the people to view the person." She added. "I encourage everyone not to get so caught up with any kind of TV show as the truth, it's not worth it LOL, it's all very constructed."

90 day Geoffrey-and-Varya

Deavan Clegg from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 2 claimed that the show gets heavily edited. She said that producers/editors combined two different events that involved her estranged husband, Jihoon Lee, mother, Elicia, and daughter, Drascilla, to spice up the drama. Unfortunately, such editing led to a huge backlash online from the viewers, which also included death threats. On her Instagram, she said, "I know that editing can make things look more dramatized and I know I signed up for this and I agreed to editing that may be a little more dramatized. But I didn't agree to editing that puts my family's life in danger. And these past two episodes have put my family's life in danger."

90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days viewers were convinced that the explosive fight between Varya Malina and Mary Wallace at Geoffrey Paschel's house was scripted because it was way too shocking and tense. But Varya denied the claims and said, "Neither Geoffrey nor Mary were [wearing microphones], and nobody [knew] what was coming. It was a total surprise for all of us — for me, for Geoffrey, for Mary, for the crew. It was crazy. I even looked back several times to [ask] the crew, 'Are you serious, guys? Did you just throw me under the train? Did you know that?'" Well, it looks like the show isn't completely scripted, and the couples are real. But the producers can nudge the cast members to create some tense moments. Then, an episode gets even more dramatic with the help of splicing and editing.
